not recentlyWhat are away tickets like for pre season games? Do they normally go to season ticket holders with no credits?
C'mon, the Preseason Friendlies are excitingI can't even begin to understand why anyone cares who we play in pre season theres loads of things to moan about with this club but this is not one of them!
So you're saying I've paid 300 quid to stay in Coventry for nothing thennot recently

Nobody's going to start supporting Everton because we play against a better team in another country and get smashed lad. People can watch every premier league game and they can see how crap we are they will support good teams not us at the moment thats just the reality of it we're not building a whole new fanbase by lobbing long balls up to a target man in 90 degree heat believe it or not. It's another sign that we are failing as a club. Do you think we are going to drum up lots of merchandise, new supporters and brand awareness from these?
Every year other clubs are eating into what could be our piece of the pie.

We have done it in the past though. We can improve the marketing obviously but going and playing a game is only a tiny tiny part of that its not like everyone in Dallas is suddenly going to support Everton if we go and play them is it we might pick up a little bit of interest but its not worth scheduling the whole pre season plan around. Pre season is meant to be about getting fit and prepared for the season its as if people have forgotten about the actual football team entirely and only care about the finances these days which is a bit sad.And that's the attitude why we are where we are. No one said we have to play Real Madrid. It can be a decent local team in that country where we want to press the flesh. I get what you say regarding style of play and you have a point, but we don't always play like that and we can play decent direct, exciting, football at times (see the derby).
Go to a city that doesn't usually have premiership teams visit, have an open day where they can see them train and have a chat afterwards. You never know, you might get some sales, you might get a follow on You Tube/instagram/X. Like it or not this is how big clubs are ranked nowadays and always helps to bring in prospective owners if you do well in these metrics to show the size of the fan base to tap into.
