Spurs love nothing more than spunking money on a fancy name, therefore AVB is nailed on and the king of gings will take us to the Champions League provided we get to sign Pienaar.

Anyone got a list of former Everton players who have undertaken their coaching badges, preferably British players?
Ferguson, Duncan.
Nailed on (when Moyes leaves). Just look at Kendall, Gabriel, Royle and Watson in the Premier League era alone. We like to employ managers who understand the club.
Duncan ferguson??? Do me a favour!!! Moyes should use this opportunity, as it is a chance for him to strong arm Bill for some money and some promises not to sell prized assets.I've not bothered to sift through this thread but here's my thoughts on the matter. I'm confident he'll stay.
Moyes is on more money at Everton than Harry was on at Spurs.
Moyes pretty much rules the roost at Everton - he does what he wants with the full backing of the board. Levy likes to interfere far more than Kenwright.
Levy would end up having to pay Everton a substantial amount of compensation should he poach our manager.
The fact that Kenwright would probably allow Moyes to speak to Spurs actually goes in our favour - if he were denied the right he would probably get angry and it may make him determined to try somewhere else.
Why would Moyes leave for a club who are a bit hit and miss, when he has spent a decade building a team at Everton? - I feel if he left it would be for a bigger club, not a club on par with ourselves.
IF, and its a big if, Moyes does leave, I would like to see Duncan Ferguson or Alan Irvine offered the managers job.
Ferguson preferably as I love him, he loves Everton, he "gets" it like we Evertonians do, but maybe he is too inexperienced at the moment.
Alan Irvine being my more realistic choice - he worked under Moyes for many years, knows the club, fans and players inside out and has full in-depth knowledge of what Moyes does and how he does it.
Like I said, I can't see Moyes going, but if he does we just have to pick ourselves up and get on with it.

Then you have Walker, Smith and Moyes who have had no prior connection to the club.

Redknapp has blamed Spurs' capitulation on having to play two free transfers at centreback (Nelson and Gallas). Levy runs a tight ship. If Moyes is going to go I think it will be to a club where he can spend big money. Wheeling and dealing is a necessity at Everton, but I'm sure he would prefer the luxury of having a transfer budget to compete with the best.
