I think moyes is a character that likes to be in a job for the long haul . I think he knows he won't get that at spurs . The only other team I see who keep managers are united . I think if he signs a new contract he will have a 5 year plan then after that he will throw in the towel if the united jobs still available . The only other replacement for fergie is guadola or mourinho

Aren't you brave? And you contributed so much to the discussion too. Moyes is a man who sold Wayne Rooney and replaced him with James Beattie. Glad he has so many supporters like you, and hope you are happy with the 'entertainment' that is on offer next season.

It's so inspiring that I'm attacked so viciously by all for daring to point out Moyes' flaws. Most knowledgable fans in the world!
Right, beattie hadn't been playing well before with the other team and he just decided I am going to buy a random, bad player. The guy had scored 17 and 24 in his past two seasons, normally you would think he was good.

how much control do you think Moyes had over Rooney?

AGAIN, Moyes has taken us from relegation candidates to top half finishers almost consistently.

They must be, they sussed you out pretty quickly!

Yes they sussed out I am a man who won't follow consensus, the sheep, just to be popular. And they decided to attack me, call me a [Poor language removed] and such other comments, to make themselves feel better.

Anyone who makes a fair negative point against Moyes is immediately targeted here.

Do you stand by your statement if you gave moyes £100million he would not improve us? Fellaini, jags, baines, lescott Cahill, arteta, jelavic, pienaar, all bought for under £50 million. Do you now understand why the statement I highlighted makes you look un knowledgeable. All these players improved our team

Okay, clearly you're Goat or something.

This has to be a bad attempt to undermine people who criticise Moyes, and make them look like irrational hotheads.

Moyes not wanted by a club with ambition and money > he'll stay at Everton for another decade > Kenwright sees out his dotage as chairman and gets a Knighthood for being the best Evertonian ever > a bottom half of the table Everton win fcuk all, but the annexe finally gets built in 2017...however, it collapses in high winds in the winter of 2018.

Hand me the petrol and matches.

Yeh right? Walter Smith took over A **** **** **** **** SQUAD and with no money and loads of abuse turned it around so we at least could be called 'under achievers'. He brought in loads of international players, was forced to bring in free transfers like Ginola, Gazza, fantastic signings like Weir for £250k. Walter Smith (and BK knows it) is the man who started to run things around, not Moyes. Moyes had Rooney and still ****ed it up and finished 17th.

Moyes is a P.E. teacher and that's all he is. If you think Beattie was worth replacing Rooney because of 'stats' then I can't help you. Sorry. But I can't. A manager with any creativity or ambiution would have gone for an Aguero for £14m at the time, or something along those lines.

This is the man who started Beattie ahead of Bent against the crucial home leg against Villareal. Moyes is nothing. I don't rate him. I never will. And he will never win a trophy in his career (unless he jammmies it with Everton) which he won't.

He's average and I am entitled to my opinion. He is a stats man and I believe a lot of his signings have been down to Everton's superb scouting network which have hurried, forced or pushed him into signings. I don't rate Moyes and I shouldn't be abused for not rating him. Everton are a scrappy, uninspiring team and I believe Jelavic's goals will dry up fast in this boring formation and predictable set-up inspired by Moyes.

Keep the abuse coming, it's not like I'm the only one who doesn't rate Moyes as a manager. A lot of things people are saying now about Moyes I was saying in 2003/4/5 so all this abuse is like water off a duck's back take it easy

I'm not the ginger lads biggest fan these days, but that part made me laugh...a lot.

Still waiting for pomp's answer to this?

Well if your think Walter Smith was as good as Moyes and that Moyes had done nothing then I can't help you.

All you really need to do is look at the facts which are our table positions with him mostly being in the top half and the amount he has spent to get there. There really isn't much of an arguement. You could say he should have bought this person or the other person but who new how good they were going to become? Beattie could have become a world beater for all that we know.

Moyes is not a one season sensation that it works out for awhile but it suddenly dulls down and he under performs. He has been at this club for 10 years and he has proven himself with the positions we have held at the end of each season, either avoiding relegation, getting into Europe, or getting us into the top half.

And thanks for posting this and backing up my earlier post of suggesting your knowledge of football is lacking.
