Have a bit of a quandary, when I click 'like' on something, it's because I'm fond of the post. However, after I've done this, it says, 'you like this' and that seems a bit forceful. When I go back to a thread that I've forgotten I have read and see this I think, 'I'm my own man, you won't tell me what I like' so I neg the poster.
It's hipster syndrome, I suppose. Can you change it so I don't see that I like something?

You're a special case.

I 'like' any posts that contribute or stimulate, not all are guff I agree with. Sometimes I sarcastically 'like' too. Sometimes I do it just to move a new member from 0 to 1 rep (or an established member from x99 to x00). Sometimes I do it just so others can feel my presence.

Sometimes, as in your case, I 'like' then a bit later I 'unlike'. Just because I can. It makes me feel weird. And I like weird.

I haven't got anyone on ignore. Tried it once but found it a bit silly, and can disturb the flow of discussion too.

But fair enough if some lids find it helps them xx
Depends who you have on ignore, my ignoree doesn't add to the flow, only distracts from it so it works well for me. And I do like that they don't appear at all now rather than "Post hidden because xxxxx is on your ignore list"

What do the voices have to say about this? You know, the ones that only talk to you?
