The idea of playing games in empty stadia, whether home and away or neutral venues, does absolutely nothing for me.
I'm not sure I would even bother renewing my subscription to Sky to watch us, never mind any other team.
As the banners say, 'football is nothing without the fans'.

I definitely won’t be renewing my subscription until proper football is back....the version with fans in attendance.

I will have zero interest in “behind closed doors” football.

If PPG had been worked out a couple of weeks ago, it wouldnt have accounted for Liverpools 3-0 defeat at Watford. Watford were given no chance - yet they got 3 points. Working on a ppg is basically just keeping it as is. It doesnt count for the usual one or two teams getting dragged into it, or the team that goes on a goid little run and gets out of it.

Anything can happen at any time in this league. The idea of 3 teams who could still pull themselves out of relegation, losing around £200mill each. Along with the prospect of losing the parachute payments and gate receipts in the Championship will be fought hard.

Ifs buts and maybes. Said before, Norwich and Newcastle are still in the FA Cup and could win in. We restarting the cup games? No.

Whoever goes down will get parachute payments, could even argue about getting more out of it due to PPG.

It's where we are now no what could happen.

If your goalie is training with his coach and reserve goalie.. and they all get it, who on earth do you then get in ?
Or if certain teams lose a key player, Villa lose Grealish, Norwich lose Pukki etc then that's again out of their hands. It's not like it's an injury, it's preventable.

Problem is, Toast, that teams have a 25 (?) man squad, so the absence of one or two might mean that they have no argument about losing a key player or two.

I think clubs have to show some balls and say, 'No, they had home advantage with their crowd when we played them earlier in the season. We want the same in the return fixture at our place, or we don't play.' But as we probably know, most if not all will bottle out of taking that line.

Hadn't clocked this before - seems PPG will be the way they go If they can't finish, unreal and unlucky some of the bottom teams - sporting integrity out the window.

Why? If the season can't be played to a finish, why bother with a computer simulated end? That's not satisfying any of the needs I.e. Financial, so whats the point? Is the only reason to finish the season to do with the money?

No fans = No football. End of!

Fans groups need to make their voices heard & put a stop to this.

Besides, neutral grounds is an absolute farce. Team in relegation zone who’ve played a top team away, now lose home advantage for a game that could relegate them..

So many times we've seen a West ham win at Old Trafford, Sunderland beating all the big boys to stay up, us coming from 2-0 down v Wimbledon. Football isn't played on a computer on ppg etc, that's not what sport is about, it is stupid, but I understand them trying to explore every option, they need to.

I just can’t get my head around this neutral venue nonsense. Wtf is the actual point? There is literally no reason for professional football to exist without fans. Do they expect teams to turn out with half-fit players, and half the squad refusing to play? The Premier League are walking into a PR disaster of their own making if this goes ahead.
