Cancel it till next year, start exactly were we left off. What's the problem with a year off. Some of our players might actually get fit eh?? Mr signed from Mainz. You know who you are.

"Restart boost as only 6 test positive"

LOL

if one person dies due to the transmission of the virus because football games were played it will be a stain on the premier league forever. Blood will be on people’s hands because they wanted to play 9 unecessary games so that teams could get their trophies and the people at the top got paid. Fans aren’t even asking for it back yet they continue to push for it. There’ll be games taking place with 100s of people involved at the same time that people still might not be able to see their immediate family in other households because it’s too dangerous. The most shameful special dispensation of all for the greatest league in the world.

They'll do everything that they can to hide any trace of evidence it was because of the restart though.

I think there is a lot of powder being kept dry by clubs at the moment.

Just because clubs agreed to this limited training being allowed does not mean clubs are coming around to a consensus to re-start season 19/20. The fact that vote after vote on issues are being postponed says it all, this vote was taken as it was probably as far as they could go with any chance of getting to the necessary 14. The PL meetings will not allow a vote to happen if they are not certain of winning it, hence the continual pushing votes and meaningful decisions back.

For me this return to very limited training is necessary to set long term conditions for play, probably behind closed doors, in a time-frame more likely to be late July or August at earliest. There can at that point be very little argument, justification or club support to play out 9 rounds (of what are essentially dead-rubber games in most cases) which would impact 20/21, so we will see PPG used I suspect to give the title and Euro spots but not relegation.

Agreeing new conditions before a competition (20/21) starts is fundamentally different to changing the conditions mid-season. You could start a new season under BHC conditions so long as it is agreed by all before competition starts that when govt allows crowds then stadiums open and if that means your home 'derby' was BCH and your away one is in front of a crowd that is just how it is. Crucially it is about agreeing this before the competition starts, or alternately agreeing not to start the competition until conditions change if this can't be agreed (but I strongly suspect it would be agreed readily for a new season with a clean slate for all).

Getting tests doesn’t mean you won’t catch it, you could get tested four times a day, it won’t do a single thing to stop you actually getting the virus. The PL is coming back ahead of everything else simply because of one thing, we all know why, money.

I honestly can't get my ahead around this. Football is a Job, the safest job in the world with the players getting tested all the time.

Why is football any different to any other line of work?

It’s about risk. When carrying out a risk assessment the first thing you ask is, does the job absolutely have to be done.
In this case the answer is no, it’s football, it doesn’t have to go ahead.
Therefore cancel the job.

Danny Rose is correct, footballers are being used like lab rats.

6 out of all those tests, that must be a high average. How many did they do in total, 748? If so to get 6 is alot, it's almost one in 100,

For a match I read there would be around 300 people in total involved, less then 40 people per club were tested, once they do that amount of tests the number will rocket.
6 is well about the national average

As much as I want it voided - im bored senseless so any footie for a few weeks wouldnt be a disaster.

Would be quite funny if we went on a mad run and got into Europe but cant see it.

Souness & Spit on SSN this morning saying what a massive boost yesterday’s test results were. FFS.
You've got to rememer that they have a financial interest in football restarting, no matter how different the conditions are to the first part of the season. They want to keep that monthly cheque coming in. Maybe as they're both RS they want Liverpool to be given the title too, but for them the money comes first.
