As much as I dislike the rs,I dont think they are the driving force behind this, the rs infected media yes,its more to do with £££,the money being lost is the sole reason, nothing to do with the integrity of the game, thats long gone
They don't have to,they have their many minions in the local/national media/SKY/BT working night and day for them to ensure it happens, they as per usual will come out of this all with said minions stating how they have acted with great dignity through this pandemic.

I reckon 99% of the people on here saying they are done with the game etc will be at the match as usual, first game back when we are allowed or watching on tv when it restarts BCD.

You cant just turn it off when youve followed a club for however long.

I think you will be surprised how many give it a miss, once out of the habit its surprisingly easy to not miss things, add into that the social aspect of the pubs still having social distancing, loss of wage etc and people wont be giving attending a game a 2nd thought

So anyone who belives that the integrity of the game will be destroyed because of behind closed doors games in a soulless empty venues with frightened players who have been basically threatened into playing is only doing so because of the RS winning the league?! LMFAO, the hubris is unreal!

My decision has absolutely nothing to do with that lot. I've hated the direction that football has been going in for years and years now. Its blatantly corrupt to the core. This latest pantomime is merely the final straw.

I know that my money won't be missed by either the league or the club. Somebody else will get my seat within mins of it going on sale but I'll feel better knowing that I'm not contributing to a sport that is fine with risking the lives of its players, managers, staff and supporters.

I don't think we are coming at this from hugely different places. The gradual creep of the way football has been going over the last 10 years chips away at the belief in the integrity and morals game we all probably fell in love with many years ago. That's part of the reason why, at this point, I'm considering walking away from any involvement in the sport. It's the last straw rather than it being the one and only thing that would make me walk away from football.

I don't want football to come back in the current environment. Mainly because I morally disagree with it coming back. Morally disagreeing with the league restarting doesn't mean it devalues the competition. If all players and clubs agree to come back then the the football on the pitch will still have sporting integrity (IMO). It doesn't have moral integrity (again IMO). They are 2 different things in my mind and from a sporting perspective I would say whoever gets relegated deserves to be relegated, whoever qualifies for Europe deserves it, and so on.

I don't think it's that controversial to say the above.

I can. I'm done with it. Far more important things in my life than subscribing to overpaid brainless youths, who earn more in a week than most of us earn in 5 years.
Once a blue, always a blue, but I am sad to say, I won't be putting my hand in my pocket anymore to help fund the corrupt EPL. No Sky on my telly either.

I'm not sure. I think this could be a re-think for a lot of people. Definitely if you are a supporter who has become a bit disillusioned by the sport pre-covid-19.

I know when I had young kids and a lot less spare time that football became much less important to me. I didn't walk away from it totally but I missed games when I had a ticket and I certainly missed many a game on the TV.

Did I miss it? A bit but my life wasn't that much poorer because of missing some games. Walking away fully would be harder but I think do-able. I think a lot of supporters from numerous clubs will be thinking the same thing.

VAR started the job Covid19 finished - elite football has lost all credibility since last August.

A lot of people will be financially far worse off after this which could make them rethink attending even before the moral dilemma comes in.

I can't honestly say I would stop going following this but it might be a while before I do.

Just like 99% of kopites who say they will behave and not gather outside grounds...etc wont be able to once games start.

If that is your stance thats a credible one to have, personally as much as i hate sky and modern football corruption its an itch i have to scratch. At this point in my life I just couldnt imagine not caring and i wouldnt be able to forget it like you. You will probably be much the better for it in the end. The money in your pocket would be nice too!
