Why are you fuming that people aren’t arsed about the rest of the season?

Im not fuming. Like i said to Bally I just couldnt switch off from it. Weve not had a kick for months and i still spend all day looking at the footy news, going on the BMD thread etc etc. For me, packing it in isnt realistic. Got nothing against people who it is realistic though.

I'm not sure. I think this could be a re-think for a lot of people. Definitely if you are a supporter who has become a bit disillusioned by the sport pre-covid-19.

I know when I had young kids and a lot less spare time that football became much less important to me. I didn't walk away from it totally but I missed games when I had a ticket and I certainly missed many a game on the TV.

Did I miss it? A bit but my life wasn't that much poorer because of missing some games. Walking away fully would be harder but I think do-able. I think a lot of supporters from numerous clubs will be thinking the same thing.

Yes I can completely understand that mate. Like ive said, its not realistic for me.

I would think if you are hoping to completely jack it in though, posting on a messageboard that is predominantly about Everton Football Club is a bad idea!

I think you will be surprised how many give it a miss, once out of the habit its surprisingly easy to not miss things, add into that the social aspect of the pubs still having social distancing, loss of wage etc and people wont be giving attending a game a 2nd thought
You might be right mate, but to be honest, im obsessed about the game starting up and a fresh start for the club under a world class manager.

A big part of footie is the socialising though, football in empty stadiums doesnt appeal to me at all, where it goes from here I dont know, its as much about the lower leagues getting abandoned for me as it is finishing the PL,add in the fact that all these decisions are getting made without any imput from the fans and it just seems wrong to me,all integrity, sportsmanship and fairness has gone,at the clubs/PL should at least have the guts to say its about the money

You are really arsed about us playing Bournemouth behind closed doors ?
Like, genuinely arsed about the result ?

Perhaps not as arsed as I would be if we were in the ground and in the mix for the champions league places or something.

Would I have gone to the game? Yes. Would i watch it on tv? Yes.

And of course id want us to win.

Yes mate you are right, to be fair my socialising is limited to a couple of pints then home for a takeaway these days, if i was younger it might really ruin the day for me.

I thought Bally was dead ?

Socializing is the part for me. but you are correct it is only about the dosh. Soon to start the 3rd division here, my local (unterhaching) have got there own biergarten. Won't be a great hardship to sit in there for ninety minutes. Even the amateur teams are back training.
