Professional Sport even with the idiotic behaviour of certain individuals is pretty much an irrelevance. Currently, we are experiencing the usual winter strain on the NHS combined with the B117 variant of COVID. Thankfully the number of infections is starting to bottom out. The worry is the number of patients in the system especially ICU.

Stopping professional Sport will have a negligible impact on things.
I think keeping the sport going is one of the few reliefs people have at the moment, especially for people stuck at home it might be one of the few things they have to look forward to all week.

The players are doing their part.

In order to have a game to come back to

I mean I think the game would always come back, but we don't know in what format.

The answer for Murray, is that he is paid tens of thousands of pounds per week. So thats the point.

Pretty much everyone currently at work is having to make all sorts of sacrifices that are not ideal or easy, and are not earning tens of thousands per week to do so.

I happen to agree on the celebrations point. It seems ludicrous to have people having so much contact with each other and throw a hissy fit but celebrations though.

But if players expect to be paid, they should play.

Hes not refusing to play mate.

Hes saying what we have now isn't football, its a pale, pale shadow of the beautiful game.
