Proposed changes to the Premier league

The RS trying to entice the 'top 9 clubs' into their evil plan is very reminiscent of Sauron giving out the 9 rings of power to mortal men in Lord of the Rings....didn't work out too well for them when they realised it was all a ruse and there was only one person ever in control. Half expecting Woodward to fly to United's next game on a black dragon.

It's pretty simple. First vote "top 6 to get 50% of all revenue", followed by "vote to make top 9 a top 6".

R Parry is a crook. Total crook.
Vote 3: Sanction Everton for "irregular" ownership shenanigans. Proposed by Liverpool, seconded by Manchester City. Punishment: Removal of Mr Moshiri from the Everton board. Thirded by Arsenal.

We're way too much of a threat to be part of this club. I have no doubt Moshiri thinks we should be...but knows he has too many enemies to allow him in without unacceptable repercussions.

However, this proposal may only be a staging post. Should Everton's rise continue and we become a de facto member of the "big 6" by finishing in the top four a few times, making the CL, and winning a cup, then we'd be assimilated into the Borg prior to any new, more-likely-to-succeed, proposal on the other side of the pandemic.

We're not the good guys here, just as we weren't in 1992.

We could win the league 5 years in a row and we still won't get in.
This top 6 will have the power wherever they finish in the league.
This is just them protecting their position if it starts going wrong.

Let them be power brokers....but not in ‘our’ game. I really don’t think we need either of them so cast them adrift to Europe or the MLS. But what about the viewing figures and the crowd numbers for away games at the other clubs....simple, promote the two Glasgow teams to the Premiership. They have a vast fan base around the globe, and they travel in their thousands every week to away games.
Dump those who don’t want to be here and welcome those who do.

For context, I need to be clear that I would not be in favour of a change in TV rights distribution & personally, I believe the league should be as close to a meritocracy as is possible within the remits of stadium revenue, owner investment and TV rights, which ultimately act as the leveler of the playing feed.

But in terms of legitimising Myths; i'm just not buying into that. To suggest Burnley generate as much Global viewing of the Premier league as Man United is simply not true. At their peak (2012 figures), 70% of global viewing of PL matches were Man United & to use an inappropriate analogy, if I was a stripper in a strip club responsible for 70% of the cash collected, I would be fairly pissed off if it was divided equally between the 20 dancers.

That said, there is an argument that the other 19 dancers maintain the crowd while I'm off doing lapdances ;-)
There are lots of other seedy strip clubs you can go and show your wares off in if this one doesn’t suit you...that swhat I’d be saying to Utd and the Sh1te

If this is right, this is what Teams have said or not said, about the Plans.

This could be a fantastic opportunity......for the common good of Football. Show these two American franchises up for what they really are. A coordinated backlash by all the other clubs plus the media could really turn it into a behemoth of an own goal, one which if ‘managed’ correctly could have a profound effect in levelling out the playing field and ridding us of the two bloated, egotistical, self-righteous bullies. I’d love to see someone as proficient in dialogue as Simon Jordan for example spearheading a ‘jib-them-off’ campaign backed up by every other club in the country on the back of their ‘Big Plan’.

interesting - SKY have also gone with a "no chance" line; as their top headline as well

They are making a number of powerful enemies. Not many teams will want to incur sky's wrath.

I'm not sure how serious they are about this demotion to the EFL. They would both be bust within a year.
