The greed clubs dont male money from itI don't get scrapping the Charity Shield. Yes, it's slightly more glorified than a friendly but it's solely between 2 teams, it's one match and all proceeds go to charities. Why would anynone say "yeah, that needs to go"?
Why would the FA leave?
As I said City and Chelsea are the only owners who put their own money into the clubYes all very fair. I mean essentially the view that the top 6 boards all have a shared viewpoint is probably not the case. I'm sure City would on the one hand be open to more inequality in how TV funds are distributed on prize money, but might be nervous of more PPV as they know they'd lose ground to United/Liverpool. In truth, there must also be a private feeling at City that grinding United into the ground is a good thing. It will allow City to further monopolise the City of Manchester as the leading club- which puts them in a very strong position. Why would they want to save United?

Why would Fulham fans or any of the bottom 10 prem teams accept reducing the number of teams?I think we probably need to accept that some reform is happening - and whilst we might not *like* some of it, it's probably worth the other 14 sides working out what are the show-stoppers for them and what they may be prepared to accept. I've had a go at listing what I think would be *probably* ok if we had to compromise (and let's be honest, compromise is going to be needed for the good of the league because we don't want a breakaway super league or whatever regardless of what the angry reaction to the proposals might be - it wouldn't be in our interests or the interests of the rest of the PL) and the bits which are non-starters as they would forever shift the balance of power and wealth distribution in the league which would reduce competition.
Acceptable
- The Premier League will be cut from 20 to 18 teams, with the Championship, League One and League Two all keeping their usual 24 clubs - This isn't ideal as we get to see less league football, but I think it's one we can compromise on
Yes I mean essentially much of this. Personally I would also not move to an 18 team league. I have yet to see any evidence that a smaller league than the PL have had more success. In fact all evidence points to it being less successful.
Charity Shield- yes that can go if needs be. Personally I'd keep the league cup but can see sense in moving it on.
Support for womens orgs, ticketing, payments to lower leagues etc, that should all stay. Voting, amendment of shareholders and disparity in TV payments should stay as they are, or ideally become more equal. Likewise, no PPV games.
If they want a compromise, there it is.

Final point (i promise) while the UK remains the key economic area for PL rights (55% I think), I expect part of the reasoning for Project big idea; is the perceived undervaluation of overseas rights.
Sky suggesting that 6 PL clubs support the idea, praying that it’s the obvious ‘big 6’ and not us.
There’s no way they’ll get 14 teams to accept an 18 team league, because they will lose out on four games worth of money (2 home).
The 'they' in the second paragraph referred to 'the big six' leave the prem, not the FA.
Sorry for not being clear enough to follow, probably needed a reread and edit but didn't bother

Giving United and the scum more money does not suit their ambitions
