The league is big business now, owners tend not to be supporters and they always need to grow the club to sell at a later date. All the RS's have done is behaved like big corporates do. Remember we were involved in forming the thing which was a 'screw you' to all leagues below.

The game belongs to TV and marketing departments, what we knew has gone for good. It will be no FA cup next. Sad.

Little bit more on what DBB said in The Atheltic this morning.

I know I can’t post a link, but apparently she made her disappointment clear and stressed the need for clubs to be fully accountable to each other, the league and its fans.

They also reiterate that she asked for an apology from Liverpool and United but didn’t get one.

I doubt they will see it being roundly condemned at rejected as a victory mate.

They also dont look like they are leading the debate altruestically, but behaving in a deplorable and selfish manner. Not a good day for the American owners.

So they proposed a proposal then rejected the proposal themselves? So why did they propose it in the first place.

By not including the championship clubs I think it’s a massive dig at Rick Parry
I see a chief exec of the EFL resigned this week after only recently being appointed

I would agree if they had lost a vote 18-2; that's humiliating. Strategic review being unanimously voted in suggests there was some sort of collective buy-in.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say that every single red I know personally who I've spoken to about this stuff has been dead against PBP. They do my head in about some stuff, but on this occasion I couldn't fault their stance towards it.

Unfortunately, I think we haven't heard the last of all this - I would imagine this was an opening salvo and there will be changes coming sooner or later which are a watered down version of what we've seen. I can only hope that the worst bits of it which entirely shift the balance of wealth and power are resisted.

Apparently they decided they weren't prepared to accept any of it. Hopefully, representatives from the 20 clubs can find some common ground. There are things that clearly need doing.
