Dear godMr Naive here.... shouldn't you get a letter by default once you reach 50years of age to go visit the docs? Or was this taken away by this government too?!

And if there is a family history, then ever earlier. It never existed mate, it’s an urban myth.
You have to contract your GP surgery in person and even then they may knock you back, if you have no symptoms. ( depending on where you live )
It’s nuts, as it should be offered to every fella as a matter of course once they hit 50.

Update… saw a consultant gastroenterologist last week and now awaiting a date for a camera …. Can’t wait for some kind of diagnosis to be honest, constant stomach aches lately which ain’t too good.
Obvs can be a number of wild and wacky fixable reasons, is right on getting to checked, even more is right posting about it and urging other men to do similar. Had to get mine checked last year, was easy peasy really, not like I’d dreaded in my head.Update… saw a consultant gastroenterologist last week and now awaiting a date for a camera …. To be fair I saw the gastro doctor within 2 weeks of getting referred, that was a week ago today so hopefully I’ll get a letter with an appointment this week.….i had the sharp pains, Kurt, but the camera gave me the all clear. Hopefully the same for you. They’ve largely subsided now but I’m not back to the way I was 6 months ago. I had a nasty bug called C-Diff in the summer and apparently it can take a toll on the drains.
They guarantee the colonoscopy within 2 weeks of GP referral so you should’ve had it by now, dreadful having to wait.
Yeah to be fair I ain’t too worried at the moment, hoping it’s just some infection or somethingObvs can be a number of wild and wacky fixable reasons, is right on getting to checked, even more is right posting about it and urging other men to do similar. Aye our guts get all sorts of stuff, but at least you haven’t waited on it and gone the best place to get it sorted. Never ever wait symptoms peoples, we got beautiful socialised healthcare in the UK - get in there.Yeah to be fair I ain’t too worried at the moment, hoping it’s just some infection or something
