Both consoles have their pro's and con's. I am able to see that and make my selection based on that, you see to only see specs and marketing.

Ps3 if the games improve. Maybe once Killzone2 and MGS come out it will sell more. I'm happy with the old PS2 for now. I suspect you also need a HDTV to get the best out of a 360 or PS3, but i've never seen one that didn't look worse than my CRT, there's a lot of lies about new tellys

Most CRT's and LCD monitors support much higher than 'HD' resolutions. Considering 'Full HD' as marketed by Sony is 1080p or 1920x1080 res (2.07 million pixels). The current gen 'big' lcd monitors are around 21"-24" capable of 2560x1600 resolutions (4.09 million pixels).

However, look at the price difference between a 27" HDTV versus a 27" monitor pumping out a 2560x1600 resolution. Not even comparable, the TV is so much cheaper. Plus a 1080p picture on a 42" screen is still very detailed and very impressive.

There is still hope around the corner for the TV-o-philes. The next generation of HD, 'Quad HDTV' with a res of 3180x2160, or 8.1 million pixels. Not slated until 2015 though, and will likely come with a hefty premium for the privilege.

And The Japanese are looking to bypass Quad HD totally, and go straight to 4320p!!!! Res of 7680 x 4320 giving a whopping 33 million pixels on screen! :blink:

If you guys can't tell, I like my electronics!

Should be getting my new GFX card soon, which will blow any PS3/360 out of the water for resolution or picture quality.

The stats don't lie PS3 is being pissed on by the other two consoles.

I've got all 3 consoles and yes the Wii is by the far the best of them tbh,its not a "kids console" far from it,Nintendo have tapped into the casual gamer market so much so you can hardly find them in the shops even now and MS and sony have been playing catch up to it ever since.

The PS3 is an ok sort of console but no real killer games for it..yet

The 360 (twice replaced 3 red rings) is a decent machine but i dread everytime i turn the damn thing on but it does have some halfway good games.
