Went past the elm in the car on Sunday. It was open and pretty certain they had a for sale sign up as well
Never thought I missed actually going to the game too much up to now, but God, reading this thread has made my eyes water
Proper leadership from Johnson? Zero chance of that. The sooner this mindset is dumped and Johnson shows some proper leadership the better. There are currently 10 times more deaths from flu/pneumonia than from Covid.
Thing is there all done when we leave for Bramley Moore anyway. One match day probably gives them more business than they get in a month otherwise. Losing 20 match days would have a catastrophic effect on them.

I appreciate that. But why aren't we living in fear of flu and taking illiberal draconian action to minimise its transmission?Proper leadership from Johnson? Zero chance of that.
Death from flu/pneumonia are irrelevant in the debate about Covid19 as they way they transmit are different.
Met my missus in there asked her out just before I went to get the night train to Wembley.I still miss The Netley
More than likely, but lets remember there'll not be many pubs in the immediate vicinity of BMD and transport/parking will be an absolute nightmare, so perhaps some of the County Rd/Goodison Rd pubs will get together and arrange a number of coaches to ferry supporters to the ground. At a couple of quid a head, dropping off by arrangement with the police right on BMD doorsteps, I'm sure there'd be a good number who'd take up the option.Thing is there all done when we leave for Bramley Moore anyway.
Because it's not a global pandemic in the same way as covid 19.I appreciate that. But why aren't we living in fear of flu and taking illiberal draconian action to minimise its transmission?
I'd have to disagree with you on the fear factor. You only have to go to the shops and witness words exchanged over masks and distancing between those who are absolutely scared s**tless and those who are more relaxed about the real threat. For increasing numbers, it's not a case of not caring about others but of doubting all that's being fed them and beginning to believe there is no end in sight for the restrictions.Because it's not a global pandemic in the same way as covid 19.
Besides no one is living in fear, for example we don't wear seatbelts because we live in fear, we wear them to stay safe, that's how we need to look at this. Stay safe but not only that respect others too, modern society too many people don't care about other people.
