Query: Player Value of Posters

Sorry if this has been done before, but how does the "Player Value" increase? I've seen people on here who I have no idea who they are, and they are in the millions. I've been on here for years (lurking mostly) but certainly have had my periods of high activity, and I seem to have been stuck on £250k-£750k for years

Just wondered, out of interest more than anything, what contributes to the values?

There are probably better qualified people to answer this than me seeing I am a newbie, but I would guess if you could log in to your old userid you would see that would now be into the many millions. The system was changed not that long ago where suddenly I went from 500k to 25 million. In old money if you had a 750k value that was a sizeable score.

Thing is, most of those at or near the top have pretty much been here since the beginning hence the higher rating.
Others, like me, are just popular as fk.
