Rafael was not my first choice but will back him 100% but he needs to hit the ground running I also think money is not the driving force for him if it was he could have stayed in China. If Benitez is to be applauded by some for having the balls to take the job, then Moshiri should equally be applauded for being brave enough to appoint him.

He claimed he had no affection for the RS, his only affection was to the City of Liverpool. Everybody, including Moshiri, knows that is not true. It doesn't help anything saying stuff like that, it's not as bad as the Lukaku voodoo stuff but it's still stupid. He should just have said that Benitez will prioritise and work hard for this club irrespective of prior allegiances.

One thing that would get me on board quickly would be bringing over Saint-Maximin, as I’ve seen rumored. Baller.

Maximin was a Bruce signing. Don't think benitez has worked with him. So would be unlikely.

However, he would improve our team. I know he is primarily a left winger but he has played on the right a lot so would be an instant improvement on iwobi.

Only concern would be his end product has been a bit hit and miss.

Mate Gary Barlow , Jimmy Carr and loads of others including I think Rooney avoided taxes with various iffy schemes . Trump in the US now or Ancelotti in Spain plenty of very very rich people have a desire to be richer , this isn’t really earth shattering news .

Yeah I knew he still had a house in Liverpool somewhere. After watching his interview on YouTube I thought there was a hunger about him yesterday but as I said he needs to get off to a good start and prove everyone wrong including myself

Only idiots will boo him, as it’s first game back for ages and probably not a full house. So those who manage to get in will be lucky. Should be creating a Positive atmosphere not a negative one especially first game, just sets the whole season up. Listen he not my first, second, third, fourth choice nothing to do with him managing them and calling us a small club. I’m 27 and this club acts like small club at times, more time than not, especially mentality wise. So couldn’t care less about the comment. We would love it if dunc said that about them.
