Replacing Richarlison with Gordon was mentioned and from other names mentioned Dropping digne for nkounkou or DCL for Simms ? Seems certain to be boost to performance.

I have absolutely no issue with bombing out some of the players I’ve watched turn out for us and I’d happily replace them with youngsters if they’re good enough but putting in players who aren’t of premier league standard and lets be honest, as it’s Everton , often don’t end up moving to championship clubs doesn’t help anybody including the young players .

I’d play 5 kids if I thought I’d help us but I don’t believe any manager would watch a talented youngster and think he’s so much better than what I’ve got but I won’t bother selecting him I’ll go for Iwobi and Gomes again .

This has got to be the most depressing pre season I can remember, not looking forward to the new season at all.

Unless the board act quickly (which we know they never do) the FSW will ensure we play Championship football next season.

Benitez getting the job has really rooted out the people who support Everton cos they love Everton and the ones who support Everton because they hate Liverpool hasn’t it.

Again ... You are missing the point or you are deliberately strawmannning.

You maximise performance levels of senior players by making them know you will humiliate them by playing someone in their place. ..... It's not a long term or team wide reaction but you do it.

Benitez dropped John Terry at Chelsea..... Absolutely brilliant. I recall at the time being immensely impressed. Of course it didn't go down well but he won the Europa cup and Terry couldn't handle the fact that he couldn't run the team.
