For sure, the club has let us all down. Big time.
Unless the board act quickly (which we know they never do) the FSW will ensure we play Championship football next season.
Then again, perhaps that's what the club needs, a ' Great Reset '. With all the horrors that come with it.
Not the slightest chance we get relegated mate

I can only speak for myself I first watched Everton in 1963 and my first recollection of wanting the RS to lose was watching them get beat in the 1966 cup winners cup final against Borussia Dortmund with my arl fella.
Does that put me category 1 or category 2 ?
Exactly the same as me,1963 and '66.My dad was a big influence and probably also like you I'll support whoever is playing them to win.Cant help it.

His negotiations are of no interest to me.

Yes, I supported the club through every manager since, as a kid, Carey.
Everyone has the choice to make their own decision but for a lifetime supporter such as yourself I find your attitude hard to understand.

My allegiance is to EFC , everything else is transient, otherwise I would have stopped torturing myself decades ago.

Rafael Benitez will be at the club for some time, shorter ifit isn't successful, longer if it is and in time he will be replaced and Everton will go onasit always has.....often ruining my weekend.
I can't walk away, even though many times I have promised myself that I would pull back but I know I won't.

Unlike others I don't have a personal objection to Benitez.
It is clear he is a cold ruthless manager as far from CA as you can get. He would sack his grandmother to win a point imo.
The comment about us being a small club was sheer frustration at not winning a game, I genuinely believe he would say the same about Liverpool because I don't believe he will ever have a personal relationship with a club, I think he will always be just a gen for hire.

My concern only is if he can make us better and only time will tell us that.

I ignore the predictions of what he will do good or bad because at this point it is just wishful thinking.

As far asI am concerned I hope he is with us for years because that will mean success and I felt the same about every manager since the first I was aware of.... Catterick.

But, that is me, you obviously feel differently.

Sorry about second post.. bloody phone

Do you know anything about football ? Because this post is the furthest from reality that I can imagine
I would put £1000 against us being relegated with Rafael
Irrespective of who is coaching us, I just pray that we don't do the biggest "Everton that" and end up in the Championship for our first game at BMD.
I'll gladly accept consolidation in the Prem until then.

Benitez will be long gone before we get to BMD.
It’s been 5 years and still no spade in the ground.

Less than three weeks sees your statement redundant regarding the ground.
As much as I want stability regarding manager, I fear you are correct on your first.

Very simple. I decide what money, time and emotion I invest in the Club. As I think I mentioned, adding a person like Benitez into the mix tips the balance.

(Just one answer will do! :))
