Irrespective of who is coaching us, I just pray that we don't do the biggest "Everton that" and end up in the Championship for our first game at BMD.
I'll gladly accept consolidation in the Prem until then.

I know my Everton history pretty well without checking books especially regarding something as important as relegation.

• Second only to Arsenal with the longest continuous spell in the top flight of the Football League.
• Most points of any club in the top flight
• Founder member of the FL which did not include any of the Mancs (both), RS, Chelski, Arsenal, Spurs

I have accepted reality, and will now give RB time to do something that brings the Club forward after years of stagnation. If he fails, then I will want him to leave. Unfortunately the pool of available passionate managers is very shallow as we and Spurs have discovered in recent months.

Well i have another theory on that, maybe the actual real Evertonians, are the ones objecting to the kopites appointment. Being a pro Benitez cheerleader and a real Evertonian, just doesn't compute or register with me on any level. For me the two philosophies and outlooks just aren't compatible at all. But i suspect that you are more kopite, than you are an Evertonian!

I dont think Carlo set us back in the same was that Koeman did but he certainly stalled the squad and had them playing a brand of football that was almost impossible to describe and understand, Rafo has to start again with the basics. Turn them into an actual side that play functional football. If anyone thinks next season we should hit the ground running in the opening set of fixtures they are a bit deluded, because of how bad we played after Christmas Rafael has himself some time

Looking back Carlo did almost nothing for us though I don’t think we would have Allan without him
I’m sure we can recover
Dislike him or hate him I think Benitez will graft hard to make it better

Iwobi
Kenny
Holgate
Gylfi
Gomes
Gbamin
Kean

We'd be lucky to shift half of them. Do we think Benitez can get a tune out of any of them?

Iwobi played ok right wing back before Carlo switched him?

Bernard had a good relationship with Digne his first season and then got dropped for Iwobi?

Holgate has had good spells but imo is not consistent enough. Maybe he'll give him a proper run as a DM?

Gomes has obviously got ability but very rarely has a good game. This was pre injury too I think. Can't see him fitting anywhere.
