I’m sorry mate you’re drinking bleach
It’s not “ Everton that “ to play in the championship
We’ve never been relegated
I have no idea why you’re even contemplating that unless you’re basing it in Newcastle going down with Benitez
That was not down to him
That ship was sunk
We have an infinite better squad that just needs a shake
Which is probably what you need to give your head
Too much doom and gloom
I don’t like Benitez
But he is a proven manager and we are going to improve
Whether you like it or not It's accepted by many that over the last few years we've had a habit of effing things up whenever we seem to be on an upwards trajectory. It's a view I subscribe to however difficult it is to accept and it annoys me.
It'll be a cold day in hell before we drop down a division and I'm not expecting it under Benitez for one moment whatever happened at the Toon.
At best I'm indifferent about his appointment but to use that old phrase, I support the Club not the person. Like the many others before him since the ginger one left he will have my support. Its upto him how long that lasts.

I agree totally

I dont think Carlo set us back in the same was that Koeman did but he certainly stalled the squad and had them playing a brand of football that was almost impossible to describe and understand, Rafo has to start again with the basics. Turn them into an actual side that play functional football. If anyone thinks next season we should hit the ground running in the opening set of fixtures they are a bit deluded, because of how bad we played after Christmas Rafael has himself some time
I agree with you regards Carlo and I've nothing but venom for Koeman from the day he joined us and pissed back off on holiday. It never felt right from then on.
As the new season approaches and in all probability full crowds, the last thing I want at Goodison is a vile putrid threatening atmosphere because of the feelings generated by his appointment. If I'm honest that will see me leave the ground.

Yes we have. Know your history...

It was btw, they were out of the relegation zone with a game in hand. He just couldn't match Sunderland's "amazing" 12 points.

Yes Sunderland overtook him. They sacked a manager as they were underperforming to be anywhere near the relegation zone. Then Benitez sorted that for them.

Maybe the players who like to roll on their backs and have their tummies tickled at Finch farm will realise that he isn't Carlo or Silva ........

He will have them out. He will promote youth in their place - yes he has done that before when the seniors don't comply

John Terry fell foul of him and was dropped. Predictably the scummy dressing room destroyer did his worst but Rafael won the respect of the true pros at Chelsea.

Where has he promoted younger players then?

If he promotes younger players I will be supportive of that. And I hope it plays out how you think it will. My fear would be we go backwards under him and finish on less than 59 points. You cant just make winners out of ordinary players.

Enjoy!

Our pubs not open yet so a few cold Guinness at home.

BTW

I know my Everton history pretty well without checking books especially regarding something as important as relegation.

  • Second only to Arsenal with the longest continuous spell in the top flight of the Football League.
  • Most points of any club in the top flight
  • Founder member of the FL which did not include any of the Mancs (both), RS, Chelski, Arsenal, Spurs
I have accepted reality, and will now give RB time to do something that brings the Club forward after years of stagnation. If he fails, then I will want him to leave. Unfortunately the pool of available passionate managers is very shallow as we and Spurs have discovered in recent months.

Ugh, never did like the stuff even when on holiday in Eire, Bitter man me. Drink I mean.
