You want a manager to take over an already struggling team ...... Sell players at a greater value more than he buys and turn them into winners???

Put the phone down. Having a mare.

Well if hes able to put in a winning mentality irrespective of material realities, then yes of course I would expect him to build a winning mentality.

The reality is, there are a lot of other factors that dictate whether you can create a winning mentality. I think it's unfair to expect Benitez to do that here immediately. I just want to see some progress.

Where has he promoted younger players then?

If he promotes younger players I will be supportive of that. And I hope it plays out how you think it will. My fear would be we go backwards under him and finish on less than 59 points. You cant just make winners out of ordinary players.

He told me that he scouted Sterling and brought Shelvey through. Yes, he's a massive wum. You can tell from his username not to take him seriously.

Which is why the fans need to realise that Rafael is necessary.

I don't know how many sterile performances with players not caring the fans need to see to realise that the players are having them off.

I think the board know that we have a culture problem and it needs some serious tough love. It will get worse before bit gets better. It will expose the real culprits at the club.

So you dont think we are going to see sterile, defensive performances and it's going to be raining goals?

With reference to my last post a few pages ago, I look forward to this turning out well and we start winning games, having happy weelends like in the 60s to the 80s.

Not a wum mate. Been watching Everton since 1984...... I've elevated myself past the need to resort to playground nonsense.

If you actually read my posts I tend to give people a chance until they crap on the club.

Shelvey is terrible and Rodgers brought Sterling through.
He wax a 16 year old kid when Rafael left. He was earmarked for first team pretty much straight away.

Whatever you think of Shelvey he was worth far more than what he cost and Benitez installed the model we see at our club now. Buy youngsters who can be played and sold for more.......

Versus the progressive courageous stuff we have witnessed under our last 3 managers???

No. I expect it to be very regimented with far more organized players and less mistakes. I expect the players to show for passes rather than point at someone else who should receive the pass.

I think the amateur and weak mentality to be dealt with.

Well hes worth about 2m as hes absolutely terrible, which is about what they wasted on him.

As for Sterling, thanks for confirming Benitez didnt bring him through.

I've not known him to really bring many young players through anywhere. Cant think of a single academy lad he gave a debut to in his 7 years at Liverpool that went on to play 50 league games.

I'm not saying what's went before was fine, but I'm also not saying we are going to see the end of sterile, defensive, dull football.

It is not going to be raining goals at Goodison I suspect. But happy to be prove wrong on that. How many goals do you think we will score in the league next season?

And if he is dealing with the 'amateur/weak" mentality that got us 59 points, how many points do you see us getting when we do that?
