I for one am happy a manager comes in and doesnt says we want to win the title or we want to be in champions league or whatever, empty words.

I like that the emphasis is to win as a mentality and we play hard every game.

Biggest mistake he can make is trusting the current crop of player's (we all know which one's). They've let us down for years and each time a new manager turns up we get the same rallying cry, a few decent performances then we are back to square one.

If he wants to get fan's onside he can start by binning half of dross that was served up last season. Until then we will see more of the same.

Pretty much, as much credibility as me saying I was offered the Everton job last month.

It's not true that's why.

He was wanted by West Ham and Arsenal in 2018, but they were unwilling to pay his buyout fee. Spain also wanted him to manage the national team, but again Ashley demanded they pay a buyout fee.

He was wanted by us in 2019, but the compensation was too high and he was unable to get out of his contract. He was also wanted by Celtic, Arsenal and West Ham again.

It's funny all these clubs wanted him, but wouldnt pay the relatively modest fees to get him out isnt it? Cant have wanted him very badly can they?
