That would be a start.

'You're not going to play here. Tell your agent to find you a new club, or become the latest 30-year-old to spend their days in the U23s.'
I bet a bunch of them would rather sit on the stands/play U23s and collect their wages rather than take a big paycut and move. Especially if they're in their 30s and they know it's their last big contract.

That list is terrifying. The top 12 are all horrendous footballers and awful buys. Normally by pure probability you will get 1 hit. But not old Benitez. 12 expensive duds.

Soon we will be told he didn't sign the players, it was [some nameless Newcastle executive].

The only places that he OF COURSE signed the players was Valencia and Liverpool. Of course.

It's all very sinister.

And by that what people mean is:

Valencia- he signed all the players he inherited (the ones that got to a CL final BEFORE he arrived)

Liverpool- He only signed, Carragher, Gerrard, Alonso, Torres, Reina etc. Nobody else. He did also manage to sign Coutinho and Sterling as well though, despite them being signed and played years after he left. That was down to him.

Some extremely aggressive anti FSW feeling on here tonight on the back of the press conference. Yet he claimed he has the backing of the fans.

frightening to think what a couple of defeats will bring.

…I did wonder if Benitez appointment was a political statement from Moshiri that the romantic Kenwright days were over, but I’m a little disappointed to see Ferguson still involved. He’s never going to go elsewhere to prove himself as some think, he’s in a comfortable bubble and USM FF is his domain.

I think it's short term window dressing with Ferguson. No way is he having input into Benitez's decisions.

The galloot is like Fred the Doorman - always there and as much chance as Fred of becoming manager.
