Well what you've put there is the very reason Benitez shouldn't have got the job. He may as well be starting with -10 points.

I didn't want him here, not because he managed Liverpool but because surely there were several candidates who were at least on an upward trajectory in their careers.

That said, I hope people do find it in their hearts to give him time.
