those who say back the manager simply don’t want to understand or accept that a sizable section of the fan base will never accept him.

A cup?
Winning the league?
Getting an Amokachi tattoo?

It's not like it's Gerrard or some dyed in the wool red, he's a professionsl foreign coach and any previous allegiance obviously isn't a concern to him otherwise he wouldn't have takeh the job.

None of that will happen and frankly given that’s it’s so unrealistic it’s actually a pretty antagonistic thing to be coming out with.

If he achieves any of what you have said (or 10th) I will hold my hands up and admit I was wrong about him. But I fully believe none of that will happen and fully expect us to be between 11th and 15th.

10th is generous I would accept 8th just about. The squads no worse than last year and 59 points was an unusually high number for 10th.

It is when you put forward scenarios that will never occur as though they were realistic possibilities and then attempt to paint people as never being satisfied

I think that's possible but depending on his performance i think over time if successful that section will dwindle to a very small number indeed.
