You said a section of the fanbase will never accept him.

I think that's possible but depending on his performance i think over time if successful that section will dwindle to a very small number indeed.
You’ve put forward a load of scenarios to demonstrate his success.

I can guarantee you none of those will occur. And you actually know it yourself - so you are just having a go at the fans.

I said forget the scenarios.

I asked you a reasonable and straightforward question.

What would it take for you to accept him as manager?

Ok forget the scenarios.

I don’t think I’d ever ‘accept’ a kopite manager but this season top 7/8 would probably persuade me to keep him on.

the reality is he will get us 12-14th and will have to go.

And that’s the thing that’s not being recognized by those who tell the fans to back him - he’s not being backed not only because he’s a kopite but because he’s a bang average/poor manager.

Ok that's reasonable.

I don't love the guy and i don't think he expects us to or even cares.

He's here to do a job and i think he can do it well.

The minute that isn't the case he will be asked to leave.

What was predicted will come to pass.

You can see what’s happening after one (albeit embarrassing) defeat. FSW shouts in the crowd all before a league game has been played. Fans livid on forums like these.

the players themselves who need very little prompting to go into hiding on the pitch will now find the perfect excuse with the fans at the managers throat to down tools.

those who say back the manager simply don’t want to understand or accept that a sizable section of the fan base will never accept him.

it’s in everyone’s interests that he leaves and leaves now.
What does that say about the players? So we are going to always give them a free pass and lay the blame squarely at the manager and coaches. Everton are a bigger institution than any of us. We all have to shoulder some responsibilities whether your a fan a player a manager. If we all go,the match slag everything going on, get relegated go into liquidation do we hold responsibility squarely with the manager? Everyone should just get behind the team. There have been a lot of mediocre Everton teams that have beat Superior teams on paper because of our intervention on the sideline with Goodison park packed to the rafters. I will cut with you I’m as concerned about this as I was in the mid 90s because the team aren’t mentally strong and if we turn on the manager then the atmosphere isn’t one that is going to have our players playing to their full potential or any perspective signings wanting to touch us with a barge pole. This could end badly with us in a situation similar to Leeds.Be careful what you wish for.

Yet another Everton manager calling for more commitment desire and energy from the players. It’s the same complaint from every manager recently. When will the penny drop with these players and they’ll actually put some effort in?

It won’t. They need to be chased out of the club, all of them. Brands is failing in his job of ridding us of them.

We had that last time. A manager who would be backed against any player and he cut and run presumably because the club wouldn't back him.

A very good point about Ancelotti - the rumours are he was the one who jumped ship rather than being tapped up by Madrid.

he had the support of the fans - why was he so unhappy?

There’s a core of players simply not good enough in my mind: Keane Coleman Siggurdson Davies.

Then there’s those that just cannot be bothered or even look interested playing football: Iwobi Delph

What worries me though is there are players in the squad on paper who have quality: Digne, Allan, Doucoure, Richarlison, DCL, James. Yet there’s loads of occasions they look like absolutely rubbish for us, so lethargic, uninterested, so slow and laboured.

It’s just a general lethargy over the whole club and it seemingly doesn’t matter what managers or players come in they all put out the same one paced uninterested negative shuffling nonsense.

I honestly think there will be a serious revolt in a month or so time. He definitely won’t be here at Christmas. The board and Benitez really haven’t got a clue what’s coming.
They got a taste today. One game in and the FSW shouts are incoming.

the interview post game was a fiasco as well - He basically admitted he doesn’t know anything about the players and just looked lost.
