I kind of find it odd, that there seems to be a lot of excusing being made for Benitez. Like 13th is in any way acceptable. If hes 13th it would be the worst finish in about 20 years and he will rightly be hounded out.

Thing is mate, and it really annoys me tbh, folk not agreeing with that are branded as RB lovers or are defending him.

Many recognise the reality of the squad he has inherited, recognise that maybe the spending and daft contracts are now really hindering the club, and then lob in the stadium to boot. He may fluke a cup, he may turn a few players into better ones, who knows. But recognising the reality of EFC 2021 is miles away from thinking RB is anything other than an adequate/practical manager.

I agree totally. We also got a few thrashings, right? Which is why while I didn’t agree with hiring the guy I am going to support the team, hope they win, and go from there. If he doesn’t perform, then yes I expect him to be removed as I would anybody else. I was blinded by the reputation of Ancelotti, I realize that now, but I’m not going to make a decision before anybody has even been given a chance.

If they couldn't give a monkeys, then what's it matter if we are for or against him. The whole point of a forum is to share and discuss views and the forum has no bearing on what moshiri or uzzy think so we can have whatever views we want.

You are spot on Dave. You may be referring to Lord Bucket Bonce and Ratty Kev? I forget their actual GOT names. Just relentless unremitting drivel spews from them, more or less on a daily basis. They may gain some psychological relief by doing it, perhaps for some unnamed afflictions which plague their lives.

You clearly haven't read the forum for the last 6 weeks or so then. There's been plenty of discussion and plenty of posters who don't talk disgustingly about him but don't want him.

There's also the opposite with plenty of posters who think they are better because they are happy to support him from the word go and try to dictate how everyone else should feel.

I don’t think it is but I don’t think we need a taxi to get there .

The club is in a precarious position in lots of ways , whatever your position on the appointment for all the polls and whose the biggest blue its clearly divisive and much of the reaction to a pre season friendly defeat just illustrates that .

There's loads of people doing it, not just them.

Fair enough, people have the right to vent. But when do we settle down and get behind the team? Now IMO.
 
I will back him and hope we can improve. I support Everton, not a manager so I always want us to win. I am just saying what I have seen from his career thus far and the way he is shaping this squad. I don't care about any more excuses he needs to be in the mix for EL places, that's how we judge every manager.
