If it comes in many forms (which I agree with) why is Seamus not a leader?Leadership doesn't come in one particular form, but Seamus isn't a leader. He's a great professional, not a leader.

When has he done anything to rally, rouse, or drag Everton out of a mire? When has he influenced or guided his fellow Evertonians to be better? If it comes in many forms (which I agree with) why is Seamus not a leader?
To be fair I’ve seen him getting stuck in to players verbally many time even when he wasn’t captain, he put lukaku in his place many a time when he wasn’t moving. He’s a right back so his opportunity to drag us out the mire as you put it is reasonably limited in terms of scoring, for me he gives 100%, in recalling the Leicester game when he can back from injury, 93rd minute still legging it down the pitch soaked wet through. When has he done anything to rally, rouse, or drag Everton out of a mire? When has he influenced or guided his fellow Evertonians to be better?
He isn't a fist pumper and he doesn't get in people's faces; but he does take a lead on the pitch making sure refs answer questions about decisions. He also sets a good tone for the club in that he's fairly articulate and comes across in a dignified way with the media.Leadership doesn't come in one particular form, but Seamus isn't a leader. Not in Roy Keane sense..If it comes in many forms (which I agree with) why is Seamus not a leader?
Don't you watch on the official site mate?? After every match he does a rally cry..... Every sodding matchWhen has he done anything to rally, rouse, or drag Everton out of a mire? When has he influenced or guided his fellow Evertonians to be better?
Have a look at this and from aprox 1:55, was against Leicester last minute of the game, his first game back, leading by example. When has he done anything to rally, rouse, or drag Everton out of a mire? When has he influenced or guided his fellow Evertonians to be better?
Hang on, were you just nice about an Everton player? He isn't a fist pumper and he doesn't get in people's faces; but he does take a lead on the pitch making sure refs answer questions about decisions. I have no problem with Coleman being club captain but I want someone else at RB.

Big Dunc was never a leader, just volatile.I think he tries his best but his problem is he isn't intimidating enough to be a true leader on the pitch.
You look over the years at leaders and you wouldn't want to mess with a Bonucci, Keane, Big Dunc physical type on the pitch - Seamus is just a mouthy little Irishman bless him lol

Of course he does. Does it all the time.Genuinely never, ever, ever seen this.
I think he was a mixed bag having him on the pitch up for it would rub off on the other players imo.
I would say Cahill was similiar in that respect although more disciplined.
Coleman for me is more like Jags in a model professional but not someone who has his team mates up for the big occasion / afraid to not put a shift in.
