Got away with it tonight, I looked at the team and wondered if Benitez was sending a message to the board as to how few good players we have outside of the first choice 11. Very very lucky to have got away with that. Unless we are going to go back to playing a very deep back line we really can’t persevere with Keane.

He clearly wants Micheal Keane, since he's played him every minute so far. So I doubt the defence will get eventually sorted.

I doubt he will start him against Brighton.

Listen I was opposed to benetiz coming here. However you can’t make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Three of our starting back 4 have shown time and time again, they’re not up to the task. We looked odds on to go out, when they equalised and Kean was sent off. For the next 15 mins after that they were certainly on top. But the subs changed the game again and won it for us despite being down to 10 men. Benetiz has shown already in his short time with us that he is tactically astute.

Never write off the Rafatollah lads - gets the win even with 10 men and corrupt officials gunning for him.

Also he seems to get the team going in the HT talk, so thta they play right to the last minute of injury time. Its been a while since an Everton manager could make things happen in the 2nd half - usually we go back, play deep and concede.
