He’s an honest professional (apart from the riddles at his pressers that is) - and I respect that. I like that he didn’t apologise for what he might have said in the past, because he wouldn’t have meant it. He was entitled to needle his rivals in the way he did.

He wants us to be successful, and he’s going to give it his all. You can’t ask for more.

It’s a long road, and it won’t all go this well, but he is winning the fans over and that’s no mean feat.

Nah Toshun has no physicality mate - its clear people genuinely haven't watched Rondon much he's strong, holds the ball up, decent in the air, leads the line.

Not a clinical CF by any stretch but someone who can make things happen off the bench and grab/contribute towards a scrappy goal 100%.

On a free transfer he would have many on here eating their words same as Gray and Townsend imo.

Also he seems to get the team going in the HT talk, so thta they play right to the last minute of injury time. Its been a while since an Everton manager could make things happen in the 2nd half - usually we go back, play deep and concede.

Ancelotti is obviously a top top manager but he was deffo more suited to working with top class players. Best we've had since Moyes and the most likely to take us to a 4th spot since. Ancelotti has gone to a team destined to finish top 3 no matter who is manager, 2nd or 3rd will earn him the sack though. lol

Rafael put reserves out tonight to protect our first 11 and won, Ancelotti would never have had the brain to do that. He's have put the first 11 out playing deep and lost.

I’ve been impressed by how positive he’s been. We’re more attacking than I’d expected.

Our style of play is night and day compared to last season.
It just underlines how God awful it was at times last year. So slow.

The annoying thing is that he appears to possibly be building the lads into a functioning team with a bit of spirit and comradery, even with no transfer budget. Honestly, were he not him there would be a lot of potential positives. (granted it is very early, but it certainly could be much worse)
