Hilariously, it will make no difference. The board has this manager stitched up, the players likewise. A new manager will find himself in the very same spot. Without the sacking of Brands and a proper budget for recruitment, Everton are making up the numbers. Benitez is wasting his time if he thinks he can get a tune out of this rabble that Brands has overseen, bought, or failed to move on. We'll do very well to finish 14th this season.

The manager stitched himself up tonight.

We lost 5-2 at home to Watford, he's had nine days to prepare yet starts with the same system, uses the same set-piece set up.

That's got nothing to do with the board.

Weird how he had the players and tactics to have a go at Wolves in the second half but not the first.

I can only assume he had some trust (or hope) in professional footballers to do basic things. Surely he's seen enough to know that Keane is a jellyfish, turns like the Titanic and shouldn't be near the team.
