1 win in 7 is not an unusual occurence at this club and Moyes was the main culprit for these kind of runs. When have we ever not been beaten in the league cup? We have had 50 odd attempts and never won the thing. It has become a norm for Everton in the last 30 odd years to have runs like this and we have had better teams than we have now.

I feared a right toeing after HT. The manager stopped the rot.

A win against Spurs settles it all back down.

The board know they handed him zero cash and the injury crisis is very real. They also know we cant get a better manager than Benitez.

This is a woeful Everton squad and they know that. They'll hand Benitez the time. No Everton board is sacking any manager after4/5 months...and especially under the circumstances they handed the job to Benitez in.

It'll be some out of work manager who's failed in the PL nailed on if not Ferguson.

Not just that but bringing a manager over, nobody is coming over, bringing the family..etc unless the contract is MASSIVE.
Only people who live in England can be considered, such as Lampard for example.

Dave…Raffles had nine days to “galvanise” the buggers after the Watford debacle.

The fact he hadn’t them fired up from the getgo tonight is a damning indictment IMO.

And every last one of us knew Gordon should have started over Iwobi.

There is no hiding place for Benitez.

Tonight was disgraceful both on the pitch and off it.
