Alright I didn't watch the game it was 4am for me, and because we lost I just watched 20 mins of highlights. Looks like we got battered in the first half but we did much better in the second.

I don't know how Gbamin did but that's a pretty crazy move to play him 2 years out of the game and most of the Wolves players have a 10 game head start on him. Seriously just with that I think Benítez has lost the plot.

That said thankfully he finally saw the light with Rondon and benched the guy, he needs time off to work on his game. So while the last few weeks I criticized him for playing Rondon every week which I suspected came down to his ego and doing things his way, at least he changed it even if it was a few weeks late.

Godfrey is better at full back but he isn't a natural there. Very weird. Holgate to CB is a good move, he needs a couple of weeks to get back into it. I hope we can get behind him. Obviously Mina is first choice.

I don't mind we lost, yes it was the third in a row, but at least they looked like they were trying in the second half. Which was more than they did in the Watford game.

One of the worst things about this Benitez situation is how much it mirror's his last days at the RS. Anyone looking objectively can see that he's not going to he able to fix the situation but there's a hardcore clique of supporters (generally ones that aren't match goers) that will blame literally anything and anyone other then the FSW for our problems. They'll also dish out cringeworthy levels of adoration and praise for him after wins as though he masterminded the entire thing singlehandedly. To read some of the crap online you'd think he was selflessly volunteering at the local hospital rather then being an utterly incompetent and totally ineffective professional football manager that's being paid a kings ransom for it!

Doesn’t matter who our manager is, if this board remains in place we are going down and it’s only a matter of time.

Yes but how do we remove a board? It's fine saying they should go, and in an ideal world we do get new decision-makers at board room level, but how do this happen? There is no mechanism for changing the board of a football club.

It's like saying the government need to go mid way through an election cycle. It's pointless and can't be done.

But we keep getting it totally wrong. If we appoint the right person then we won't have to keep changing it.

The idea the board will remove themselves is daft.
So why havent we appointed the right person? thats the real problem, Moshiri, sack a manager, get the wrong one, rinse and repeat.

Thing is where do you expect us to be with this squad? Mid table, bang average at best, which is where we are and will more then likely stay

As far as I can see there’s two posters on here that do that. Two.

Well fans protest against the owners all the time, not to say it works, but at least they try and make their feelings known. West Ham, Man Utd, Liverpool, Newcastle, Leeds, all these fans have rallied against the boards at their clubs because they demand better. Our fans mentality though is “ah what’s the point, he’s not going anywhere, why waste our time”. When the Blue Union took a stand against Kenwright they got ridiculed by a large portion of our fanbase for “kopite behaviour”. We are an apathetic fanbase, and we’re going to sit by and watch our owner destroy our club, it just makes me so so sad.

I'm all for sensible calm protests against the owner or board. If people want to do that then I support them. But I just don't think it will work.

There are far too many happy clappers in our fanbase who think staying up is all that matters. I saw fans clapping the players off on the TV last night - the mind boggles.

It took him quite a bit to see the light. You, I and every person and his dog saw that after two games of watching that tugboat. But you are right, there is hope. Hopefully, it won' t take the master tactition another 30 games to understand that there is something wrong in his plan if Townsend is required to mark Harry Kane.

I actually couldn't care less if he fecked off to Newcastle tbh. I am not solely blaming Benitez for the mess we are in as it is the entire club that is bolloxed up and i am not sure any manager on the planet could solve it. We are however currently playing worse football than we did even under Allardyce which i never thought i would see and that is definitely on Benitez. At least we were a bit harder to beat back then even if we were absolutely dreadful to watch, now we are dreadful to watch and extremely easy to beat and would actually struggle to dominate a school play ground.

A perfect storm is coming to a head that has been brewing for a few years now made up of shambolic club directorship at the highest levels including owner and the entire board, shambolic directorship of football and transfers in both Walsh and Brands tenures and a string of shambolic manager appointments that would struggle to successfully manage a kindergarten.

My own personal storm of Apathy has been brewing alongside and i am not even sure if i can face watching another Everton match presently. It is nothing but pain and misery watching the club i have supported for 54 years descend to such low levels and a bunch of over paid incapable uninterested tossers wearing Everton shirts pretending to play football.
