What's weird is Everton fans worshiped Carlo who was a disgraceful Everton manger, but won stuff for other clubs, and they ignored what he did (or rather didn't) for us but loved him becuase he won stuff elsewhere.
Likewise Rafael has a top CV but becuase a joke of a Newcastle got relegated while he was there they focus on that, it's weird.

He was getting praise because he had us pushing top 4 for the first half of the season. When it went bad towards the end of the season people were criticizing him.

Benitez would be getting the same if we were in that position. I gave him credit for his good start before it went bad.

Why is it likely they would sack him?

If he became available then of course you sack benitez and bring him in...but i would imagine several other clubs would want him as well.

Poch isn’t coming anywhere near Everton… bottom half team, he’s done that with Southampton, I’d wager he’d be way more ambitious than Everton and it’s paper thin squad, which is barely good enough these days for the prem

A good solution would be not concede 5 at home to watford. Not man city. Not chelsea. Watford. Who basically doubled their goal tally for the season against ralph benitez Everton.

Its an interesting theory. But if like in say medicine, an experienced doctor who still uses proceedures from 20 years ago, against a younger doctor who embraces the modern ones, who is the more effective one?

In particular to football and managers. How out dated does mourinho look now. His style of football had its day back in the early to mid 00s. The game moved on. with guardiola. And some german fella. And a few others.
Mourinho and his football. Well he looks like a dinosaur now.
