My concern is that the club bow to fan pressure.
He's had rotten luck since being appointed. I know he's made some mistakes too but I genuinely think we're about four to six points worse off because of loss of DCL, Richy and Doucoure.

Take the three main attacking threats out of any team and they're up against it.
It impacts the team greatly.
I dont think they can afford to bow to fan pressure, they have to put whats best for the team first, whats best for the club.
Besides if they do make the mistake of getting stuck into more managerial merry go round they will know a new man might want to ask awkward questions like why is the squad so bad, why are they so un fit, why do we pay Brands, although rumors are gathering pace that Rafael is allready onto some of this.

Are we definitely able to spend significantly more come next summer or is it more bargain basement?
I thought (but may well be wrong) we should be significantly better off in the summer, several high paying contracts over (and not renewed) plus a number of the terrible fees will have been fully amortised.
Not sure it’s a fully clean slate, but should be able to recruit, however make the same mistakes again and we’ll right back in the P&S handcuffs immediately so the spending better be spot on to get us higher up the table.
(Plus it’s highly likely at least 1 player who’s actually worth anything will go imho)

he’s not doing great but ok his tactics and subs are crazy, but he needs money

Probably seeing one of the few players who can actually play football tiring, Benitez decided he didn't fancy another injury and expected someone to do their job for eight minutes and see the game out. It'll take a couple of windows to ship out loose canons and brain-dead wasters, maybe longer if we're hamstrung by funds.

Make that 1 win in 8.
First the 'positive', the players looked like they cared for once which I more put down to a crowd enjoying a Sunday lunch than the manager instilling in them.
That's werethe positivity ends, it was another turgid performance with no attacking idea whatsoever, not that Spurs had much more even though they had the 2 best chances falling to their 2 full backs, Lloris might as well have read a book. Spurs were there for taking today clearly intent on starting the new era on not losing at all costs.
Benitez negative, boring tactics were reflected in his subs, Davies, Holgate and Gbamin all came on with not an attacking thought amongst them. How long must we suffer this utter dinosaur of a manager

That is my issue with him, he is well past his best and see's us as an easy payout and a nice little trip across the Mersey from his Home.
