Dave we aren’t going to have any of them back by then, let alone all of them.
Maybe not. We might have to be patient to get past this unprecedented injury criis. But the manager can and has show himself able to get points with a fit first team, so it only makes sense ton stick with him.

I get the feeling you would argue any point to be fair! lol

He wont get that time though as he has been dealt and incredibly rubbish hand.

Crap squad, no money, ex RS, poor recent history. The bloke is doomed. The next 2 games are vital and I don't see how he gets the required results out of them, nor do you by the sounds of it so it will only start ramping up.

I just think a lot of people are acting like giant drama queens at the moment mate.

We are 11th 12 games in with a big injury crisis.

Come the seasons end we'll be midtable like we always are I dont know why people get angry or shocked at this club still we're the most predictable and boring one going.

@FOXINPEACE whats your take?
Yeah obviously overall he has done a good job and winning the FA cup was absolutely huge (for me anyway). During his tenure though we've had really long spells of playing dross football and poor results, this current spell being the longest. And their might be a fair few people saying 'well its only Leicester so what do you expect' but everything we've achieved over the last decade has happened because the owners dared to dream.

I'd be quite happy to see somebody else take over now and give the players a new voice to listen to. Things have definitely gone stale

Rodgers is a blagger who gets by through being peoples 'mate'; I expected everything to fall apart for him at Leicester round about now, as it did at Liverpool. The staff start to see through the act, because he's completely fake and a massive egotist.

To be honest I'm just surprised he managed to win something before the wheels came off.

It's a slump in form due to injuries. Happened to Carlo. Happening now.

My point was to take the mick about throwing around "1 in 9" stats to create a panic when you can easily change whatever stats to suit an agenda.

Out of the losses only 2 concerned me - Villa and Watford. But then this squad is capable of those results as seen in the past. The other is the ineptitude on defending set pieces.

Other than that...it's a big shrug and we'll be fine when we get players back
I wish I had your confidence

Glad you admit Benitez is at minimum 2 levels below Ancelotti.

Finally.

This is your shortlist of alternatives to Benitez.

Ruben Amorim (Sporting)
Graham Potter (Brighton)
Marcelo Gallardo (River Plate)
Erik Ten Hag (Ajax)

I wouldn't talk about managers being 'levels below' anyone - very much 'don't throw stones in glass houses'.

Nobody on here thinks Benitez is a better manager than Ancelotti. Not many are even fans of Benitez. But we have realists who realise the murderer's row of nobodies you've just listed would in all likelihood amount to sod all at Everton.

It's like some people think that if Brentford beat us and we get a pasting off the RS then fans will just shrug their shoulders without questioning Benitez and move on.

He isn't the most controversial appointment in my eyes though - Benitez only seems to trigger a select few supporters.

Doesn't it show how small time we've become Windy that we put a manager with a CV of winning a Champions League, La Liga, Europa League, FA Cup & Copa Italia as being way more controversial than of a novice like Marco Silva or relegation fighting specialist like Alladyce just because he once managed Liverpool nearly 2 decades ago?
No, it doesn't. Appointing a former manager of our biggest rivals because the board has run out of ideas shows how small time we have become.

'Small time' is being upset about it. If he was a failed manager of our rivals I'd understand it, but he isn't - he's one of their all time greats, even if he did benefit massively from the groundwork done by Houillier.

Im yet to see this though again apart from a few dissenting voices on this thread. On another forum I read over 80% still want him at the club for example and I've yet to see any serious groans from the crowd at the game.

Yes people will boo and leave early but thats generally directed at everyone not just the manager.

You will see it the second the whistle blows after the Derby. Maybe even during the match.

Will they all now be classed as Blue Geordies too ?

Or maybe the poison on here, has somehow seeped into the match going crowd ?

But Benitez is also going to amount to nothing at Everton while also just by being present is going to have the fans tearing each other limb from limb and create a poisonous atmosphere in the ground. It’s not necessarily his fault that that’s the case, but it is the case, his presence here is toxic to the club. And again, this is the fault of the owner for not recognising the warning signs that were clear as day and plowing on with the appointment regardless.

Ten Hag is decent but would never come - the other three just scream bottom 3 and bald with stress within months of trying to get this squad of players playing actual football.
