Entirely dependent on what clauses were in his contract.
If we didn't leave ourselves with an escape lever, we need liquidating.
We probably didn't
...and would still be quicker and better than Rondon. Simms could have played with his injury and he would have still been better.

It's just not true though. We just stink of Sunderland at this point - blaming manager after manager acting like the squad are being mismanaged by every of the last 50 managers.
At some point have to point the finger at the players.
It's just not true though.
Martinez had us 5th, then 11th, then 11th. But we knew getting him that defence wasn't his strong point. He also never changed system and was slated for not having ideas.
Koeman had us 7th. He then had a ridiculously hard start to the season and played 5 of the 6 teams who finished above us in the first 10 games. He was also disinterested and ended up being forced to have 3 number 10s.
Allardyce got us 8th and as much as I hate him, the players were committed that season. He was never staying, so the players didn't get him sacked, but he was never longer than a 6 month plan regardless of his contract.
Silva got us 8th before being well out of his depth and being similar to martinez, in having no ideas and his lack of nous (at the time) probably did lead the players to wanting rid.
Ancelotti did well in that first half season and then the start of his second season. But he left of his own accord, and the players didn't get him sacked.
The difference here, is that benitez hasn't even got the players on side, like all the other managers did. He is already showing lack of tactical awareness, seems unwilling to change a losing formula and supposedly hasn't managed to get the players on side, which even koeman and Silva managed.
I seem to remember you saying a few weeks ago, it would be after the RS game, so not long to wait then! The main task is to draw the poison first
Fans chased Koeman, Silva & Alladyce oot within 18 months.
Face it - the fanbase has turned feral since Moshiri rocked up.
2 pts from a possible 21 in our last 7 games mate.
Your man has made you look a [Poor language removed]Simms has only just come back from injury and is only playing 45 mins in the U23.
Changing manager gives these players another go. A new manager will come in and want time to assess the squad all over again. If Benitez has plans to move players out in January they’ll be shelved by any firing. It’s clear Brands isn’t doing anything.
IF that's true (which I doubt), we deserve everything we get.12 mil is his buyout.
Much will depend on the reaction of the support to a potential heavy defeat against the RS.Allardyce was never permanent
Koeman already had a season and spent £300million to create the worst side weve had pre Moyes.
Silva was lost I agree.
Rafael will get his season. He won't be sacked. We won't get relegated either. It'll just be mediocrity. 11th-15th.
The issue for me, regardless of league position, has there been some sort of improvement or building blocks for something to carry on another season.
If it carries on like today...will be no.
Can you just do us all a favour and do oneWhy is that. If everyone is expecting a heavy defeat, why would that result change things now.
