Spare the sweeping generalisations. You've complained about Brands and Moshiri for years for their muddled decision making, yet you seem to think the result of their latest major decision is destined for better things?
The hypocrite is you.
Oh look, a nerve touched.

A lot of people pathericlaly trying to justify themselves if Benitez does get the say by saying it was his 'inflexibility' to play Dobbins or Simms and 'dinosaur tactics'.

That's not why you want him out, own it FFS.

Own it lol

This ain't some catwalk show Dave "wow look at Tom Davies strutting his stuff in that long fur coat, he's totally owned it!!!"

You've just used the two words that sum him up perfectly and that were on show for ALL to see on Sunday

inflexibility
dinosaur

If he had anything about him, he'd have tried mixing it up, going for broke, trying something new. But nope, same old crap just on a different day.

He gets paid 8m to put out a competitive side. If he gets sacked its because we've gone 2 months without a win and most managers get sacked for that.

I was mildly positive to Benitez´ employment but the fact is he´s not performing. We are on an (almost) unprecedented run with extremely difficult games in the near future and our tactics have´nt been exactly awe inspiring and promising. One change against Brentford. One.

The Benitez supporters, how many more games must he be given before you´re willing to change your position? There has to be a limit, yes?
Give him time to get the benefit of DCL and a January window.

...or do you think we should hand all our managers f.a. to spend and 4 months of football to turn back the tide of almost a decade of decline?

There would be NO justification for sacking Benitez this early. All we're hearing here is unreasonable people trying to make their opposition to this mabager sound plausible and principled.

Own it.

Hypocrites.

The hate mongers are now trying to make it look like they have a principled point to their opposition to Benitez.

Let's have it right: they were screaming for him to be sacked before the first game in charge....now they're hiding behind "poor tactics" and "not giving youth a chance".

As said: "own it".

I also seem to remember last season a lot of fans arguing against the pragmatism of Ancelotti. Arguments like

I’d rather see us take some short term pain and coach a way of playing rather than watching this type of football

I’d take a season of transition if it meant we were coaching an actual system and way of playing

Well, the collective patience for coaching lasted until the first set piece went in and fans wanted zonal marking binned. The patience with taking some short term pain lasted until the first loss.

There’s only a few options available to us, and every manager has come to the same conclusion

We can play pragmatic defensive rubbish to nick points until the FFP situation changes and we can slowly rebuild the damage Koeman did

Or

We can spend our way out of trouble and assemble a world class squad for a manager

Now seeing as we can’t do option 2 we are left with a slow rebuild.

Too many fans are obsessed though by this mythical third way were a complete u known manager comes in, defies the law of physics, and has a group of absolute charlatans suddenly playing some of the best football in the league. The case studies put up for this are Potter (got booed off last game), Viera (been there five minutes and also got booed off last game), Bielsa (in a relegation battle), Dean Smith (oh sorry not anymore), Hassenhutl (sorry not this season) and Rodgers (ah again prob not this season)

Most of those managers probably have better options to choose from than Benitez as well.

Parts of the fan base is in complete delusion and are currently offering an argument equivalent to a toddler stamping its feet

‘But but he played Rondon for 90 minutes’
‘He didn’t bring on Tosun or Simms’
‘He played Gbamin, he should be playing Delph’

Can people not see how ridiculous all those arguments sound in the grand scheme of things when we are taking on teams with players populating the ballon dor list. Nothing more than petty point scoring, it’s straight out of the ‘Koeman get Niasse on ffs’ playbook, might work for about ten minutes of a season but in what world is it an actual answer to the wider problems?!

Injuries.... 1.7 million

1 in 10 is sacking form and he can only blame himself for not getting more out of what was available to him.

We shouldn't be getting turned over by promoted teams like Watford and Brentford. We shouldn't be waiting over 2 months for a win.

These arguments from @davek and his cronies are just the death throes of a fish caught in the boat awaiting his fate.

Just a little over 24 hours before we can close the darkest Everton period in decades.
