Anyone judging a manager who has to put that rubbish out needs their heads feeling.

He's won near everything, the dunces he's able to call on right now are no marks.

….thats quite a ludicrous first sentence. Of course he should be judged on what he’s getting from this group of players.

A top coach wins that game on Sunday. Selection & tactics were poor but what was worst was his inability to change things via substitutions. Two crosses brilliantly across the 6 yard box with a ponderous striker in no-mans land whilst two bright youngsters remain on the bench.

i get the injury excuse but there is still enough in that squad to have beaten Brentford.

That fella who scored a hat trick against us for Watford was available for free.

He could have bought better but instead he sorted a contract out for his fat waster mate.
Ancelotti froze him out and Brands tore up his loan deal and didn;t sign him.

He should be judged when he has almost all his own players out there on the pitch and not before.

You need to score goals to win games. Benitez has been withoiut our best 2 for most of the season so far.

It's all just excuses to say he's wanted out becuase of this and that.
I was FOR him so no, its not and excuse to say this and that.
Without 2 of our best is bad, it sucks, it affects us but it doesnt mean he has to play Rondon and only Rondon for 90minutes.
He´s lost the plot and needs to go.

TICK TOCK, how many games?

I also seem to remember last season a lot of fans arguing against the pragmatism of Ancelotti. Arguments like

I’d rather see us take some short term pain and coach a way of playing rather than watching this type of football

I’d take a season of transition if it meant we were coaching an actual system and way of playing

Well, the collective patience for coaching lasted until the first set piece went in and fans wanted zonal marking binned. The patience with taking some short term pain lasted until the first loss.

There’s only a few options available to us, and every manager has come to the same conclusion

We can play pragmatic defensive rubbish to nick points until the FFP situation changes and we can slowly rebuild the damage Koeman did

Or

We can spend our way out of trouble and assemble a world class squad for a manager

Now seeing as we can’t do option 2 we are left with a slow rebuild.

Too many fans are obsessed though by this mythical third way were a complete u known manager comes in, defies the law of physics, and has a group of absolute charlatans suddenly playing some of the best football in the league. The case studies put up for this are Potter (got booed off last game), Viera (been there five minutes and also got booed off last game), Bielsa (in a relegation battle), Dean Smith (oh sorry not anymore), Hassenhutl (sorry not this season) and Rodgers (ah again prob not this season)

Most of those managers probably have better options to choose from than Benitez as well.

Parts of the fan base is in complete delusion and are currently offering ana regiment equivalent to a toddler stamping its feet

‘But but he played Rondon for 90 minutes’
‘He didn’t bring on Tosun or Simms’
‘He played Gbamin, he should be playing Delph’

Can people not see how ridiculous all those arguments sound in the grand scheme of things when we are taking on teams with players populating the ballon dor list. Nothing more than petty point scoring, it’s straight out of the ‘Koeman get Niasse on ffs’ playbook, might work for about ten minutes of a season but in what world is it an actual answer to the wider problems?!
I don't really know where to start with you.
The other day I responded and you seemed to understand that the senior management of the last 7 years is the real source of most of our problems.

They're the reason we have these crap players, why we've had crap managers (this one included), why we're straying into dangerous territory in the table.

We sign some new players, blame the manager, get a new manager, blame the players. That's the cycle. How many times have we said the word 'transition'? And I'm not talking about @Paris 's interests.

There's no reason to expect this group of players, or this manager, to be any different when they were chosen to fit a strategy by the owner/directors which continues to fail. That's before we really get into how badly we've performed under Benitez. He's getting an awful lot of goodwill from the club and some fans, that he wouldn't get anywhere else.

Its not an 'either/or' thing, Benitez is responsible, along with many others. We need major change at every level of the club or this downward spiral will continue.

You said he was going nowhere an hour ago?
I'm still saying that.

I'm merely pointing out the utter stink of hypocrisy from the "principled" who suddenly now say it's because he's 'tactically rubbish' or whatever rather than why they didn't give him a chance in the first place.

Is there just one of them who hasn't done that so far? Anyone of the Benitez out lot who just says: "I dont give a flying one if he's good or not...I just wanted him out...he could be winning games and I'd say that"?

I doubt it. They've all found their principles now. And you know why dont you - these same people will DEMAND loyalty to whoever eventually replaces Benitez.

Hypocrites.

Kone also played on the wing a lot for us.

Niasse scored 9 in 1501mins which is a goal in every 166mins. (So better than 1 in 2 games)

Rondons scored 0 goals in 622mins. He has made 10 appearances, and had 10 hours of football and hasn't looked like scoring.

None of the 3 are good enough to start. But rondon shouldn't even make 4th choice. Tosun should be 3rd and a youngster 4th.
10 hours, it seems so much longer. Absolutely finished this fella.

Nearly there now. The nirvana of the galloot in the dugout to satisfy the principled posters who wanted Benitez out.

What a 'kin football club.
I think you're being a little bit unfair to some on this forum. Yes those that have never wanted him (I didn't) but once put in position accepted he was our manager. However he has to do better show some kind of ability to change a game because at the moment he's doing neither and sitting behind we've got injuries is unacceptable for some of the things he's doing. If he showed some sense and didn't keep playing rondon for instance (he's so bad its untrue yet still keeps getting starts) and iwobi who has had a ridiculous number of chances to impress but has done the opposite supporters might just see that he can see what we're all seeing and isn't putting up with performance s that are below mediocre.

Are you saying you won't get behind the next Everton manager Dave?

Crap fan you. Thought supporting Everton meant supporting the manager. You would think Blues getting on board with that concept would make you happy.
