Tell you what's really helping Benitez currently, and has been a real stroke of luck for him (and us)?

Not having a certain record signing, invisible, non running, half-tackling fraud of a footballer available for selection to fester up our midfield and kill any forward momentum.

I'm certain the start wouldn't have been as good if ghosty was available, as he would have brown nosed his way into the managers plans, then consistently let him, and everyone, down on the pitch, as he has done for practically all of his Everton career.

If I never see him again in an Everton shirt it will be too soon.

It's a good start for Benitez - hope we keep going, and if James is still around, he gives him a chance.

He won't win MOTM, nor will Gray win POTM, but its a nice positive that both have been recognised.

Keep winning and I'll tolerate him, can't see myself warming to the bloke.

Is it because of all the money he's given to charity. The fact that he actively gets involved in communities. The fact that he puts clubs first and wants them to succeed in the future. The fact that he has ambition.

It’s only the ‘record signing’ bit here that identified him from 4 midfielders we have..
