Fair point really...and you don't have to warm to him. I haven't really warmed to any recent Everton additions, Owners, players or managers for that matter. If he gets us a trophy or a European place..it would help matters (for me)
Benitez is the manager presently so for that reason alone I am backing him to do well, I'm not cuing up ready to get my right nipple Raffa tat done.

Lucky in the Quarters, lucky in the semis (Chelsea ghost goal) and lucky in the final.

Seems to stretch quite far this Liverpool luck.

Do think moyes has done a good job at west ham. But i have been surprised by how attacking benitez has set the team up. Only been a few games but has done a good job so far, think most have respect benitez and have liked the way we have looked so far. All of us fans went crazy for carlo and i know i let him off with awful performances because who he is.

We now break with pace .......early days ....... promising so far - watchable at least ....... Carlo,s last thirdly the season was dross after promising start ......

I think that is all that many of us hoped for really - a team that works hard and looks like they give a toss. We will see how it goes.

Behave mate. It was a great team performance collectively. Rafael was also arguably one of the best managers in the world at that time.

I seem to recall Luis Garcia had a bigger impact than Gerrard getting the team in to the final.

Just style of play for me. Tuchel has won at Arsenal and gone to Liverpool and got an easy draw with Liverpool with 10 men. That is a better achievement.

As for West Ham, Moyes didn't inherit a squad that had 500+ million spent on it like Benny, so you can't really expect him to match performance.

West Ham have spent over 300 million in the last 4 seasons. They also finished 6th last season.

Rafael has taken over a team which finished 10th, spent 1.7 mil. Had the fan pressure to begin with. Has a few players who clearly don't want to be there and half a squad he can't get rid of.

He won't win MOTM, nor will Gray win POTM, but its a nice positive that both have been recognised.
