Experience is such a nonsense argument. It's the reason we have been hopeless for years. An obsession with signing older players rather than finding players and making them great players.

Perfect, so Livramento, who everyone was moaning at Brands for not signing, was actually on our list and the fat slug overruled.

His prerogative - as I understood it - was to find and sign young talent, develop for the first team and sell for profit.
Then Ancelotti wanted immediate experience and got it... Now Benitez it seemed was the same.
Farhad backed them instead of Brands and there we have it.

So I wonder what experience Benitez will add to the team in January

1) we had a DoF, whose sole purpose was the footballing operations and the long term sustainability of this club, but that was never given to him.

2) That kopite has never bought kids, it’s nothing to do with his long term aspirations. He’s a control freak who does what he wants, and that’s been proven.

But again, this comes down to an awful owner and why people wanted to demonstrate. We have no footballing model.

Signing someone like Livramento is what everyone expected of the club, young talent that we could develop and sell on for a healthy profit in the 5 years, with another one right behind him to replace him.

Bottom line - the owner is a nobhead and so is the manager

Why Brands was offered a new deal even though Moshiri knew he was a redundant spare part, I’ll never be able to wrap my head around. What a dangerous clown that man is.
