have you read his autobiography? cos this doesn't sound like the chap in there. The bloke I read about absolutely thrived on confrontation. To paint ism as some sort of enlightened leader compared with Benitez is way off. He practised losing his rag in front of the mirror for chrissakes
I think Benitez did the same when deploying mind games via televised media. Worked a treat too:

This works both ways though doesn't it?

The Benitez backers would have been slating him before he came to the club but now he is here they jump to his defence constantly? Would that not be classed as incredibly fickle too in this instance?

I am not sure either way is down to fickleness (is that a word?) though.

Benitez backers will defend him as they see it is being what is right for the club. They will give him every chance to the point of being daft as they think its important to do so for the harmony of the club so that we can push on to better things.

The anti Benitez people will slate him as often as they can to the point of being daft as they see that is being what is right for the club. They see the identity and tradition of the club to be important for the harmony of the club so they can push on to better things.

Are either of them actually wrong?

I don’t think they are which is why its grim seeing fans who at the end of the day all want the same thing (Everton to be better) but feel differently about how we achieve that.

The divisiveness will never go with him in charge though. All it takes is one bad result, one bad substitution, one bad comment and it kicks off again which is why for me he should never ever have been appointed in the first place.
Too sensible. The divisiveness is kinda overplayed here though. Any manager will have supporters and detractors. Does he bring more of it? Yes. Is it unique to him? No. One thing for sure is whoever is in charge will need time. And only time will tell if he is a success or not.

I just find it incredible, kenwright still gets support by some of our fans and is not seen as a problem. Unbelievable

This was the man looking 24/7 and wouldn’t sell his club to just anyone
Saying that Moshiri is a massive problem equates to "supporting" Kenwright?

Anti Kenwright sentiment is prevalent on here, I get that, this is not the case everywhere though.

I cant be bothered getting into it again though to be honest.

I’m sorry, how long was Roy Keane at Manchester United for under Alex Ferguson, including being his captain….was it 12 years??

Literally nothing like Benitez
Top managers are always ruthless. If they feel that you are not producing or you are a problem, then it doesn't matter if you have are the captain or how long you have been with the club. Same goes for the players. If they feel that they can get a better deal or they are unhappy at the club, they will push for a move. Works both ways.

That’s literally nothing to do with what we were discussing in relation to the article that was posted.

You’ve jumped in 2 footed and missed the ball, and the player. You’re on your arse looking foolish mate

BS. Everyone knew we had no money to spend in the summer. Every credible source stated we would hit FFP if we spent money without selling players. So we’re was he getting £20m from for Dumfries?. Wasn’t Brands moaning the other day saying we couldn’t really afford Godfrey?.

Its slightly different though with Benitez as the divisiveness will not always be caused purely from what the end result is. The only other one who would be in the same ball park for that would be Allardyce. two managers who's cards were marked regardless.

Many people hate him because of who he is and what he represents. I totally understand that point of view too. I don't 100% agree with it but I absolutely get it.

….i’ve heard the phrase ’support the manager’ a fair bit on here but nobody can tell me what the phrase means. Does it mean we can only talk positively about him, he can’t be questioned? I’ve not heard the crowd singing for him to be sacked & I’ve not seen any anti-Benitez banners since the season started.

Considering results, I think fans have been very tolerant. I would add that on Monday the players played for that magnificent support.
I am sure that those taking this position adopted the same at the back end of last season when results dipped.
