I know that and I am not saying it is good or that it is not a reason to be concerned.

But I do not think it is the right move to sack RB when the manager is evidently not the biggest problem.
We need a manager that can get results, and not drive out and alienate our best players. In terms of getting the most out of this average enough squad, then Benitez most certainly is the biggest problem.

The Benitez appointment was the wrong one because it took the focus off the players, which maybe was the intention all along, to free up the pressure on them after two disappointing years. If any other manager had been appointed, anyone at all, the players would be getting the full force of the fan anger.

Changing the manager achieves nothing other than letting these players off the hook for another 18 months. I have no problem with him alienating our best players when they are not performing and others have already said for 12 months they want to leave. Somebody has to raise the standards for these players, let them know the easy ride is over, hopefully that is what RB is doing.
He frozen out our only LB, he now taken off Rich and will drop him for Chelsea most likely.
I see him trying to flog both in Jan and as he in full control of transfer it’s scary

We havnt won at Chelsea for over 20 years
Last 2 games at Stamford bridge is a score of 7-0 an looks more likely to be 10-0
Everton have zero chance of winning at Chelsea

Why does that matter? The teams over the last 20 years are not playing there this weekend.

We had not won at Anfield in a long time and the team did that last season. There is always a chance.

The performance and results are a bit worrying, I must admit. On the other hand, it is a bit as expected. It takes time before the effects of changes become visible. It is not a linear process, although we like to think it is.

What is happening now is that the system is experiencing imbalance. Benitez has implemented a number of changes and requirements for players, support staff, organization, etc. It is only natural that he will experience resistance, and many are not willing to change. This happens in any culture, organization, where someone comes from the outside and threatens the identity and conditions of those who reside in this system.

So I think there will be far more noise in the coming weeks, maybe months, and that's a good thing. Then those who are happy with the status quo will be smoked out. Often these are people who are least expected to hold these attitudes, but they are also the ones who benefit the most from the situation as it is now.

Fans must avoid falling into the trap and become these people's good helpers. In that case, we will just repeat this circle - over and over again.

I’d like to think so but in the first half I was yelling at the tv because we had no shape or common set of tactics. there were pockets of space everywhere for Palace to run into and we couldn’t get forward.

That’s not a product of organizational inertia or culture building. That’s basic stuff that gets executed in not very good teams and leagues every week. Caught some of the MLS Cup yesterday, the level of play is bottom-Championship or top-League One, but it was a fun game and both sides played coherent football. Either coach from that game would have had our players set up better yesterday.

Or here’s all you need to say: Sam would have.

We’re bottom of the form table , have been ahead for about 2 mins all season , brighton aside played pretty poorly even in the games we’ve won , suffered our worst derby home defeat since the 80’s , shipped 5 to Watford , lost to palace at selhurst for the first time in a decade , won one game since September but yeah its all going to plan .

If you’re happy mate fair enough .Personally I’m fed up and angry .

I am not happy, the team is playing very badly and needs to improve. The manager has to take responsibility for his mistakes too. I just do not think that we can lay the blame at his door entirely when these players have thrown in the towel for other managers. I quite like that he is falling out with some of them.

….absolutely. I have no idea who the right person for this job is but we can’t continue to pluck dinosaurs off the managerial merry-go-round, especially somebody as obnoxious as Benitez.

We are better than lots of teams in this league, we need somebody progressive and hungry to be a success rather than somebody dining out on what they did a decade ago. Its the most difficult appointment any club has to make, surely Moshiri can employ people who will find us the right man.
Yeah it's a tough one. With the Moshiri track record it will probably be Mourinho.

Rafael, right lads we soak up pressure and hit teams on the counter attack and win

Everton Coincided first in 16 of 18 games

What now boss?
Keep the same tactics

Sorry mate, but that doesn't make any sense, the circle as you put it, I would call it a noose by the way - but semantics aside the reality is that Everton is not in ANYWAY learning from the last several years.

As for the system, what system - Rafael has not got a clue so the players don't have a clue - as for players or staff reluctant to change....reside in the system....have a word....what system??? we had so many managers, DOF's and crap players that nothing makes sense.

Everton FC is the benchmark for how not to do it when you suddenly get a huge influx of cash....

We have to decide what we want and stick to it
