I agree. Firing Benitez solves very little. As for the fans, good results will make them change their minds. Football is pretty easy that way.
This is exactly the thing, normally you would be right, but that is not true in this case, with this appointment. If you haven't figured that out yet, I don't know what level of evidence you require that, win or lose, Benitez is hated by the fanbase. He never stood a chance, which is why he should never have been appointed.

We were 3 points off top 4, then 3 points off European qualification, then we were on similar points to clubs at "our level", now we are 3 points off top half. Soon it'll be 3 points off 14th, then 3 points to safety. The fact that the pro-Benitez lobby have to lower their bar week after week should be telling them something but apparently it's water off a duck's back and that somehow Benitez is going to get the players and fans back on side and winning again on the never never.

The thing that cracks me up the most about that lot is that their favourite insult is that everyone else should "wake up" and not be "delusional". And they say it's only Americans who don't understand irony.
It's absolutely bizarre.

It just means that the reinforcement must be even greater. For example. if we win the FA Cup this year, then many Everton fans will probably change their minds. Results are everything, and that's what regular fans care about. There will always be someone who is unhappy no matter what. There are even Manchester City fans who are unhappy with Guerdiola. But yes, no doubt that Benitez and EFC are a bad match, but if the results come, this will soon be forgotten.

BINGO! The man could win us silverware and with time and money he possibly could but I promise you the first time we take a thrashing afterwards the knives would be out. That's not necessarily his fault - I mean, he can't be blamed for not laying the foundations of a good relationship with us back when he was managing our fiercest rivals over a decade ago but he did manage our rivals, he did belittle our club and he's a modern Icon to the red side of the city. He will never be accepted, football is too tribal - he should never have been appointed. We can't give him the money to improve the squad and he'll never the get the time so this has all been a gigantic waste of everyone's time. Another masterstroke by our Billionaire owner.

Yes. Less than a week ago.
You can't be serious? If Arsenal hadn't sat back we could've been in trouble there. The reason we have scored so many from behind is we go behind a lot and the other teams try to protect it or take their foot off the gas. All things being equal we look crap crap crap... The game has moved past him it's obvious

The results have come .... already!

Do we have any good ideas on who would replace him?
