Come to think of it: what's a ''mert''?
I google it & get this on the urban dictionary:

A short, muscular and courageous Turkish guy. They're mostly introverted, usually tend to do offensive jokes and may be into beastiality depending on their past experiences as shepherds. Merts' usually hang out in their homes' drinking protein juice and playing video-games or just live in sheds close to their herds. A Mert most likely has friends that are muscular like him, and will try to show his superiority to skinny infidels.
Dude 1: Damn, look at them muscles man! He must be a Mert!
Dude 2: He must have lived in the mountains for those massive boomers!
Goat 1: When will you come back home, my dear?
Good for you

Mate, we ain't winning the FA cup, we just got thoroughly beaten by Palace, the BBC have chosen our game against Hull because they have looked at the fixtures and decided that we are the most likely club to have a "shock" loss.

As to your last point, I assume you have no real connection to the city, because anyone who interacts with Evertonians on a regular basis will tell you that, short of winning the league, Benitez isn't getting accepted. He was getting grief when we were winning regularly at the start of the season. We're on our worst run in close to 30 years and he's firing barbs at the fans. It was, it is, and it always will be a bad fit. We should rip off the plaster now. Yes, the next guy might be in for a tough run but the fans will at least give them a semblance of a chance, this guy was going to get booed after one loss, seven losses in 10 games (I think), including losses to Watford and Palace, which hadn't happened in decades. There's no way back, you're kidding yourself. It was a stupid decision by a stupid owner who is going to be the death of this club.
I also do not think we will win the FA Cup (but the hope is there), but the point was that good results will make the fans forget. Have no connection to the city, have been there a few times and have been impressed with how friendly and hospitable the locals were. However, I will not quarrel with a native regarding the feelings towards Benitez. There you have considerably more knowledge than me.

But from the outside, and with less emotion involved, it seems hasty to fire Benitez in the current situation. Of course, there is a limit to how long the bad results can continue, but from the outside, there is no doubt that Benitez is a good manager. So I'm pretty sure Benitez will eventually reverse the trend, and get the culture of the team cleaned up. But that's just my assessment.

It just means that the reinforcement must be even greater. For example. if we win the FA Cup this year, then many Everton fans will probably change their minds. Results are everything, and that's what regular fans care about. There will always be someone who is unhappy no matter what. There are even Manchester City fans who are unhappy with Guerdiola. But yes, no doubt that Benitez and EFC are a bad match, but if the results come, this will soon be forgotten.
Spot on... all modern fans nowadays are a fickle bunch...

Your probably right.. probably shows what’s wrong with today’s game where fans would rather let there dislike of a person come before wether or not that person would make there club and team better... heart over head me thinks.

This! I’m a new fan so I am not sure if the same hostility among the fan base has happened before with other managers. Last year under Ancelotti didn’t seem like posters were so antagonistic towards each other. So it is unfortunate that many posters have gotten banned or have left GOT because of the position for or against the manager. After all, we are all Evetonians and our love for the team is what brings up this strong passion from all sides but it would be much better it we all could be more kind to each other with our comments.
It can get heated on this forum. I love posting on here and most posters on it, but there's a lot of good posters who have left for one reason or another. Just a shame for it to get so divided.

I'll fight my point like anyone else, that's what it's for, good, healthy debate, but try not to resort to it going overboard.

Except with @ForeverBlue92 , but I know he can handle it ;)

Yeah, the results will come.

But he's making the team worse! The fact half the fans didn't want him at all to begin with is only a smoke screen now and he's riding that wave. He's awful
