I shudder to think what would have happened in the so-called "good ol day's" had a similar appointment been attempted somewhere.

Supporting a team is an emotional experience so it is always going to be "heart over head" otherwise most teams would have no supporters at all.

He's not making us better, though. We're on our worst run of form in almost 30 years. I had a season ticket in the nineties, nobody can tell me we have a worse squad now than we did then, so this form is very concerning and something needs to be done to arrest it. Benitez seems incapable of doing that, so heart AND head says bin him off.

This is what we all knew would happen.

We all looked at our fixtures and feared December.

We have been set up for 10 games incorrectly which is why we are struggling every game.

We are set up to fail every game: sit behind the ball and counter. IT DOESN'T WORK.

Only logical reason I can think of for FSW still being in a job is Moshiri sees Chelsea as a defeat (he’s said that before & to be fair, even if we were fired up, it’s a big ask with this squad). So sack him on Friday, Dunc takes over as caretaker & the crowd is up for it on Sunday.

It is.

In that case - and I know he won't - but I would walk away from this poison chalice of a club. It's currently rotten to its core and despite my unadulterated love for it I can seldom recall things as bad as they are now and I have supported them since the mid-late 1960's.
The only thing I can put down to this shameful reaction from the low life's amongst our fan base is...it's all the fault of the RS being on our doorstep and being consistently successful - aside from one or two seasons here or there - whilst we seem to consistently tread treacle. We can't even aspire to Top 6 never mind Top 4 and have just become a mediocre shadow of our former selves.
'Clueless' doesn't even begin to scratch the surface.
