I said a week ago that Koulibaly had name dropped Rafael as a highly influential manager for his career and that he would be a defender we could look at signing. I then mention earlier that he is being touted at 35 million.

I also said a deal was in place for Nunes and its up to Rafael to sign off on it and he should be our first signing.

Koulibaly has asked for talks with us. He wants answers from Napoli as to why they have priced him out of a move.

£35 mil/40 mil Euros was our opening offer. From what I gather we could go up to around £45 mil/52 mil Euros. They want 70 mil Euros.

There has been interest from other clubs including Bayern, Liverpool and Man Utd, but they're not prepared to go above what we're currently offering.

Koulibaly has stated that he wishes to work with Rafael again and is seeking a move elsewhere. Napoli are under huge pressure this season as their payroll is far far too big, so Koulibaly will more than likely leave in my opinion and they are simply playing hardball.

I'm not aware of any other CBs we're looking at, at the moment.

We're going to sanction some higher priced deals soon. Hearing Koulibaly and ASM are prime targets.

The feeling is we could end the transfer window without filling key areas in the squad, so we're going to bring those players in and hope we can shift some higher earners before the window closes to satisfy FFP demands. Kean, Richarlison and James are those players in question.

We offered 30 mil before, as did Man Utd and Bayern. They wanted more money. Since then they've decided to lower their price. 35 mil is being touted.

We were very concerned with FFP. The feeling is though we can gamble and bring in a few players, taking the risk of trying to get rid of high earners before the window shuts.

The ASM situation is very interesting. He hasn't been training and the NUFC management have said he's currently "ill". His friends have said he isn't. Rumours of a bust up and him handing in a transfer request. Rumours of a 40 mil bid from us.

I heard a few days ago that we currently have around 40 mil to spend.
