I think the people still criticising Benitez for the Richarlison substitution post his explanation of why (I.e he’s injured) need to recognise that their negativity is part of the problem here

Looking back at last season’s results - we got some incredible results against top teams

Looking at who played - the biggest difference is DCL being consistently available last year. Also, Sigurdsson was pretty well involved. We were missing Coleman last season and Holgate played a fair bit at right back

We had James also who provided a lift and quality but missed quite a few games

A key difference also was the feel that Ancelotti brought and the confidence that inspired in all parties. I think largely because of the Liverpool connection, there is underlying negative towards Benitez, which is part of the problem at the moment - and driven by emotion rather than logic

Fans can do their job helping the success of the team by getting behind Raf’a
It just shows we never really know whats going on but its easy to jump to conclusions, the sub was right, not just becuase Rondon scored but because a player was injured.
The fans need to support the players more then ever right now, forget who the manager is, support the players, support the team.

Absolutely - the fans can make a difference here

If it’s poor after a couple of seasons fair enough, I’d question his suitability, but as things stand I’d fully back him to implement his plan. We will likely lose some of the coming games but the fixtures look better after Christmas

I think we have enough not to be relegated despite recent form

But fan support and patience will be key

What about playing hoof and hope against Palace, of all teams? Are we allowed to criticise him for that?

What makes you think Moshiri will get this one right? or that anyone decent would want this job?
I don't trust Moshiri to do anything.

Plenty of decent managers would take the job though, pays well, biggest league in the world and the likelihood of a payoff in about a years time if it doesn't work out.

You do know your reasoning is not a reason to keep a doomed manager right?

(of course you do, I'm on to you.)
